I went to the city hall on the afternoon of April 3 to renew my children's passports. The staff did not collect their old passports. I expressed my doubts and confirmed again and again. They replied that I did not need to submit them. Half a month later, I received a letter from the passport center asking me to submit my old passports, so I went to the city hall to inquire. The lady said she was very sorry and said that she thought our old passports had expired at the time so she did not collect them. Then I went to the post office to mail the old passports. A few days later, it showed that they had been delivered, but until yesterday, the passport center said that it still had not received our passports. I am really going crazy. I don’t know what to do? The staff is so unprofessional.

As a resident of this city, I feel the city has a lot of avenues for communication. Though there are some gaps in communication and the typical bias due to change in the city board every election, the city is planned very well, the code enforcement is apolitical and the services are reliable and timely (solar permits, patio permits etc.) . Yet to see a major problem.

The city sometimes does have some back and forth (and blame shaming) with other service providers who share responsibilities in various other areas for residents such as the JCSD, CNUSD, RCDAS and RPD etc. but they usually end up trying to help the person asking for assistance anyway. So as of May 2023 they are at 4 stars (being a 5 year resident thats not bad)

On street sweeping days, you are not allowed to park your car in public parking at your residence even after the street had been swept. You must park your car far away from your house until the time on the "sign" allows you to, even if it means 4 hours after the sweeping.

Called code enforcement, always they have voicemail, you leave messages no one returns the call or if the do, after weeks. What happened to code enforcement services?
