ECS has made a huge difference in my life and I have to say that I couldn't have asked for a better counselor. David Hedley is my awesome counselor who has made my whole experience a lot easier than I thought it would be and he's always willing to lend a helping hand. I truly believe it's because of him that I have enjoyed this journey. 🙂

I have to say not all experiences will be the same put one counselor in particular set the bar high. (David) is genuine person he cares, wants you to succeed and provides the education with such charisma and passion it would put majority of teachers in the school boards to shame.. He will match your drive if you’re willing to see your own faults and strive for smoother life journey.

So you got a DUI and now you are here looking at reviews because you heard some bad stories from someone who had a bad experience or you assume that this program is here to make your life a living hell. Well let me tell you that I came into this program expecting the worst also but came out of it a changed man. I had the pleasure of having Lora as my group counselor and Paula for educations. Let me tell you these two ladies can be the sweetest kindest and caring individuals but they mean business when it comes to following the rules and it’s not to make our life’s difficult it’s because they are rules set forth by the state of California that they NEED to follow in order to keep their jobs and stay compliant. I also had the pleasure of sitting in on a couple classes with David H what an awesome guy and a complete brainiac when it come to the subject of substance abuse I really learned a great deal. When it really comes down to it you get what you put in to the program and if you come in with a negative attitude from the start you’re going to get a negative experience. Try to be open minded, pay attention to what they have to say, show up to class and follow the rules simple as that. AND DONT DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!!

PART 2: A whole bunch of unorganization from that woman. To top it all off, I don't believe she went through her own experiences with any sort of substance and very much let us know how she couldn't wait to retire next year...you shouldn't be in this line of work if you're not there to help. Judgment isn't going to get us anywhere and I've learned that from Paula and David. Dave was my sub for 2 of my classes. My first time with him was absolutely amazing. He is genuine and I was so ecstatic when my last class was with him! It ended my experience on a good note for the time being. Rose had missed my face-to-face phone call and never even emailed me anything about it. I had to call the office and they let me know she was out for the day and she would let me know when she was going to reschedule. This was 2 months ago. She never let me know. I should've been done in July but here we are in the middle of August and I am still waiting. I continue to call the office and they told me on Friday 8/16 that I should expect a call that day. No one called. I waited until Monday hoping that someone would call me. Nothing. I called Tuesday and talked to Kris and she let me know that the coordinating manager (I believe) is in and he is aware of my situation and he will be calling me... I asked when I should be receiving the call and she said that day. I am now going on a week of silence from this company. I have to be the one that has to continuously pester about finishing my classes. If you're still reading this and still thinking about taking their program, beware. That's all I can say BEWARE. It has some light but the negative just blacks out the positive. They take your money and don't hold themselves accountable. -Aneli Hernández

This program is there absolute worst. If you weren't an alcoholic before you came here to a REQUIRED program... You'll damn sure be one after you leave. Not all the staff and counselors are bad & if you're lucky you'll get some extremely helpful, but some of these people do not need to be working in this field. I've been waiting on a call from a supervisor since the 21st of January...still ain't heard back from him. They'll charge you for every little thing, (we all know California is money hungry), but let them cancel a class or call you 5, 10, 15 minutes late for any reasons that still falls on you, you still have to make up a class that the counselor decided to cancel or if your counselor contacts you late and you miss the call, the still managed to flip the script on you to were you still end up having to pay for that $35 missed fee. Never wanted a drink more than I do now. Smh

I participated on one of the programs facilitated by David Hedley. He made the entire experience a pleasure during a difficult time. His topics for discussions were informative and highly educational and enlightening. Group discussions were robust and positive with sharing and participation encouraged. One-on-one discussions were highly resonating. Finally, I found Dave to be a highly intelligent and helpful counselor. The rest of the staff that I engaged with were always extremely help as well as the ECS ACCORD.
