This non-profit supports and uplifts the wide range of economically and culturally beneficial artists and events in El Dorado County. Their "Switchboard" at 525 Main Street in Placerville is a hub of activity that includes curated gallery shows, artist's talks, and poetry events. Their offices facilitate a number of programs that benefit the community, such as Veteran's Vouces, Poetry Out Loud, awards and grants programs, and their quarterly magazine "Arts 99" whose title refers to the nearby intersections of Hwys 49 and 50. It's always a good read, and the gallery offers great shoes in a spacious and well-lit venue. Very much worth a visit!

This is an interesting art display that constantly changes. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable.
They promote art's of many interests. Even literary art. The sponsor a Veterans writing workshop called: Veterans Voices, and have recently published an anthology of writings by the participants. For Them, By Us. Check it out.
