Had an incredible time with my family. My grandfather served in the air force and McClellan was his first station.

The staff was incredibly polite and kind really showed us a good time. Especially the Flight Zone volunteer pilot Jerry. He went above and beyond and really made the flight simulation experience comfortable and a fantastic learning opportunity. We had a beautiful time.

They have completely vitalized and updated this place in the last three years. An adorable cafe, expanded gift shop, and a ton of new exhibits. They also added a large and very pretty area for the small kids to plan, and a really well appointed and functional flight simulation room. But call ahead and make sure they have a volunteer to staff it. Yes kids can do flight simulation! Wonderful exhibit going on now“” teaching kids about practical applications. Very hands-on

Great place to visit. The flight simulators are cool to do. Lots of awesome planes on the premises. Recommend this for the whole family.

The inside of the museum was super fun. The math section had tons of things to do and was enjoyable for me (20) and my cousins (8 and 16). It was very interactive and even had sections where you could have videos and pictures sent to your email.

Outside viewing the planes was also enjoyable. I only wish there were more staff to talk about the planes or more experiences open.

This is a full museum with plenty of artifacts, history, and activities for kids. The sheer number of things to look at is amazing, and they have historical significance, like military planes with confirmed kills. I never knew we had anti-sub drones all the way back in the late 50s. Volunteer docent are everywhere, fireball, and knowledgeable. There's plenty of civilian history too, including wind kites, space exploration, and more. There are a number of hands on activity spots for kids. Unique history in aviation and memorabilia from local historical figures. The flight zone is great fun for anyone old enough to operate a joystick. We are very glad we made the short detour from Sacramento to visit.

They have dinner specials.
Clean and sanitized environment.

They need more personalized magnets and souvenirs. Another than that this is a place to bring your kids, partners, friends and family.

An entertaining, fun place to explore! Historic aircraft, simulators, changing displays, and knowledgeable docents add a richness to the experience that make this a must-go for all ages. Oldsters can reminisce, air fans can drool, kids can play and learn. Check it out!
