I was on a business trip and we stayed at the Westin. What a wonderful experience! Our meeting room was well stocked and the Hotel Resturaunt was top notch! Eartha went out of her way to help me out when one of my clients had multiple special requests aand I cannot thank her enough. The hotel staff was warm and helpful. We have used other Marriott properties in LA, but The Weston has won our patronage with it's commitment to service. Thank you.

The Westin LAX has done a major renovation. The lobby and rooms have been refreshed. They added a large club lounge on the lobby level. It provides a hot breakfast as well as evening canapés .(some hot) along with drinks including beer and some good wines for a fee. This is included for the executive rooms (about $50 more than regular rooms) but strangly. not for suites. Access can be purchased for $30 per person which we did since it was not included in our suite. The suite itself was two rooms and an outside deck, perfect for watching take offs and landings across the way at LAX. Great for the air enthusiasts but not especially quiet. The noise varied depending on which direction landing and takeoff were going. The rooms do attenuate the sound quite a bit, but it is not quiet. Having said , I did not have any issue sleeping. This is going to be common with all the hotels around LAX so if this is an issue for you stay farther away from the airport. Notably the hotel has an airport shuttle that operates 24/7 at about 20min intervals so it is very convenient if you don't have a car. The new reno elevates it to 4 star status but it is not luxury. After all it is still a, very nice, airport hotel.

Comfortable and convenient airport hotel with great service. Hotel has been updated and is kept very clean. Room, bedding and temperature very comfortable. Restaurant Daily Grill food was terrific. Airport shuttle runs every 15mins. Overall excellent price/quality balance.

I was at the LAX Westin for a job fair. The hotel itself is excellent! It's clean, well-organized, and spacious. The staff is friendly & helpful. The escalators didn't work. That was odd, but the elevators worked.

The area surrounding the hotel, however, is pretty sketchy. The insanely high parking fee [$25/hour] makes it impossible for most people to park in the hotel's parking structure.

So, you need to park about a quarter mile away and walk through a dubious neighborhood to get to the hotel. I wouldn't do that after sunset, no matter what!

I didn't stay in a room so I can't comment on the rooms.

Overall, the hotel is great for a daytime visit. Nights should be fine if you don't wander out of the hotel.

Shuttle wait was ridiculous! Waited over an hour; called hotel 3 times, assured it was “on its way”. After seeing all the other hotel shuttles come and go multiple times, I called the Hyatt (whose shuttle had come and gone at at least six times by this point) and made a reservation, determined to get on the next shuttle they sent. I was willing to forgo the prepaid room at the Westin just to get out of that airport waiting area. Then the shuttle finally showed up. The hotel itself was fine, but if you can’t get to it, what’s the point?

I walked to this hotel from terminal B at LAX, taking 45 minutes along a relatively flat path. Whilst I had only a backpack, it would be possible to wheel a suitcase however I would not recommend the hike in extreme heat or rain as it is uncovered. It is a nice way to stretch the legs after a flight, although the hotel does offer an excellent shuttle service which I used to transfer back to the airport.
I stayed in an Executive room for one night whilst in transit, arriving well before check-in time and expecting a long wait in the lobby. I was pleasantly surprised to be checked into my room as soon as I arrived, this was very much appreciated after a long intercontinental flight. Many thanks to Ines at reception for amazing service with a cheerful attitude. The room was just fine and the bed was extremely comfortable. There is noise from planes taking off and landing at nearby LAX, but I expect this is a common problem to all accommodation in the area and it was not an issue overnight. I had access to the club lounge which included a very good breakfast with plenty of hot and cold options. On a negative note, there was an additional charge for wine when in my experience using these lounges the wine is complimentary during evening cocktail hour. The snacks were reasonable but disappeared quickly and were not replenished. Also, my room card would not open the lounge door, and essentially all guests had the same problem throughout the day, relying on someone opening the door from the inside and with no checking of access. This malfunction had been reported by myself and other guests yet continued to be a problem throughout my stay. I would most likely stay here again if in transit through LAX but I would not select a club access room.

Do not stay here!!! The rooms are fine, they're basic hotel rooms. We stayed once before a year ago and they charged me for parking when I did not drive there. I was able to get that charge removed.

We stayed last night overnight. I booked through Hotels.com and prepaid $93 for parking. When we got to the hotel, I valeted the car and told the girl at check in I had a car in valet and she told me I see you prepaid for parking. When I got my bill this morning it shows they charged me $82.50 additional for parking. I tried to talk to the front desk who told me they could do nothing, that I needed to talk to valet who is a 3rd party company. I tried to talk to the valet guy who told me they can't refund the charge and basically too bad. We got there at 3PM and left at 9AM. They are okay trying to charge me $175 for those hours to park. I am a loyal Marriott Gold Elite member. I've always chosen Marriott's to stay at and they normally honor their loyal members but this Westin is definitely an exception. There are a lot of hotels in the LAX area, I would definitely choose another if you have the option.

Room was large and spacious, heavenly bed is always perfect, 24 hour airport shuttle included in the price was great, having both usb
and usb C plug ins in the room was appreciated, and service was good. Drawback was the pungent smell of marijuana at the hotel outside when I arrived, in the elevator and around the pool deck. It knocks the hotel down a notch.
