My wife and I went for our Anniversary and it was amazing! Alex was a great teacher and guided us through every step. It was really fun. We made cups and bowls. I highly recommend it to anyone. I definitely want to go back and do another date night here again. Go you won’t regret it.

Went here for my birthday with close friends, we all had an amazing time! Jennifer and Laura were so nice and patient. They explained everything and helped us along the way. We got to make two things, one with clay molding and the other with the spinning machine. I would highly recommend taking a pottery class with mud hen!

I took the 4 week beginner course and absolutely loved it & would highly recommend! (Not to mention great pricing)
The first week you learn handbuilding techniques and the following three weeks you learn and practice throwing on the wheel!! Both Jenn and Zach were patient and helpful teachers. The classes are small enough so that you get individualized time w the instructors. Then you have the luxury of glazing your pieces! These are some of the pieces I made in my 4 sessions.

Hi, I had a great experience with their team. I made a clay dog treat jar and went back to glaze it. I am currently waiting for it to be glazed. In the meantime, I am going to go back and do a walk-in paint your own pottery. I look forward to it; very nice staff, and super cute workshop space. Thank you!

We found Mud Hen Clay looking for a date night activity in Orange County. Booking online was quick, easy and reasonably priced.

We had a great time during our two hour pottery wheel class this evening. Our instructor, Loryn, was very patient with the first time students and made it easy to follow along with hands-on instruction. She did a great job checking in frequently and guiding through the process.

We made LOTS of floppy/damaged bowls - which is all a part of the learning process. Loryn kept the class aware of the remaining time to help us make the most of it (without making us feel rushed).

We’ll be back soon for the glazing process and hopefully more sessions too!

Impossible to get a hold of! We took their class early June and their pick up process was terrible. I'm still waiting for my painted pieces. I've called three times and texted twice and no one will get back to me!

Response to the owner: your email states that the pottery will be ready in "2-3 weeks." After my class, it was 5 weeks before I got a text saying my pieces were ready for painting, and then after painting, it's been 4 weeks so far. If these time frames are incorrect, please update your email to set the correct expectations. It would also be appreciated if you responded to my text instead of this review.

I love coming to Jenn's studio, great instructor and a very nice person who makes you feel comfortable. She's patient and encouraging when teaching, her knowledge in ceramics is very broad. You really forget about everything else when taking a class here.
