I got terminated by the school. The hair teacher got races in the class. She did not give me partner to practice and also I got late in her class. Other people still can study with them . But she just terminated me. And she was so strict to me . And she broken my career make me so depressed and do the school did not give me the refund for the class I even have not started. Actually they can do it . They make me struggling with my career and my financial problems. I got so stressful and they ruin my interest into this job and make me feel no more confidents on this industry anymore! Yes! It is very hard for Asian to get into the film industry! It is not about skill . It is about relationship and the people who u know to get you into the union. If you are not good at social and only have skills it is really hard to have a very good career ! I feel I just waste my money and it is not what you think like! Fashion program is more common to get it. But it still hard for free lancers! Not a stable and guarantee your livings. We don’t have friends here and culture conflict languages very hard. When u come you will know it is not easy to get into this industry!

I did a lot of research looking for the right makeup school for me and my interests.  MUD was the best place for me.  Teachers go above and beyond for their students and they have a great career placement program.  They have a New York location too, if that’s something you’re interested in.

I took their master course and I don't regret taking it! This school really breaks that glass ceiling and gives you opportunities to meet and be around professionals in the industry. I graduated a little over a year ago, and I already have my dream job. Working for a recognized professional artist making feature films! If you put in the work, you can do it too! 🙂 The teachers genuinely care about what you're creating and want the best for you. I still go back to ask questions and say hi to this day! Can't get enough of MUD!

I've researched, called, checked out many many many makeup schools on the east and west coast and even in Europe.. I don't regret picking makeup Designory. The LA campus and NYC campus are both amazing. Everyone at both locations are so helpful, fun, cheerful, and AMAZING! They're always willing to help you. Teachers go above and beyond. Career services? As long as you let them know what you need help with, what you're looking for, and a game plan..they will help you. You can't expect them to do everything for you, but they will review your resume, website, etc. and help you fix things up and help find you jobs, but getting the job is up to you. As long as you're trying your hardest you will get the help you need in class to career services. I moved cross country and housing and administration made sure I didn't need a place to stay on multiple occasions. Everyone at MUD LA/NYC are super helpful and absolutely amazing at all of their jobs you can tell they all want to help and see you be successful. Taking the Master Makeup artistry program was the best decision I ever made. Did I mention you can retake any class forever? If I haven't convinced you to come here and you're still looking for a school remember this school is the most extensive makeup school I have found. MUD is Monday-Friday and 812 hours for the master class which many schools don't even offer an 812 hour course... this school is worth it!

I absolutely LOVED Makeup Designory! Everyone cares so much about one another and all the staff are so inspirational! I recommend everyone who wants to go should definitely go, it’s an experience that will forever be a core memory:)

Best place for special effects; very convenient and parking right on the back of the school .
All instructors are great. Be simple, love what you do and it will be as a peace of cake. Leave the drama at home and focus on your training see you at Hollywood. Thanks Mud.

My daughter went to this school…she had a great adventure what they Don’t tell you is the movies/tv business is very hard to break into….so keep that in mind
