This place I thought was nice, but after witnessing the owner watching over the party and complaining about kids just being kids playing outside, I’m agreeing with the other bad reviews. The owner also said if you write a bad review she would charge more!!. We cleaned and made sure everything was good as we wanted our deposit back and yet she still took it. Be aware of this so called business. A graduation party or quince is a family event w kids how can someone expect kids ages 3-9 to stay in chairs all night.

WOW! This is TRULY one of those rarest of rare Tucson one-of-a-kind historic architectural JEWELS such as you've never experienced anywhere else in Tucson or likely anywhere else either! This place is like a MOVIE, with the only thing missing being Tom Waits! 🙂 You SIMPLY MUST BE HERE and lay your eyes on THIS OLD WEST TREASURE that awaits you!

Personally, I'm old school and I've seen a lot but THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTE AWESOMENESS! In it's entirety, it's a LARGE and most elaborate structure on quite a good sized piece of land so it's very hard to translate into photos. Truth be told, I am more in love with this masterpiece than any other offbeat and eclectic idea I've ever had or real life place I've ever seen before, and then actually considered to be the perfect HOME! THIS ISN'T JUST HEAVEN, it's HEAVEN WITH POTENTIAL! Damn!

Be prepared to welcome not only a pleasant surprise into your life as you march on over here, but also imagine if you will, just what it is that you feel it would take to complete this nearly finished local urban masterpiece. I would like to know in your review as well if you please so we can all enjoy your insights and imagination! I check back here from time to time as I simply MUST meet the owner and hopefully SOON! One thing I can say for certain is that they have quite IMPECCABLE TASTE! 😉 This priceless gem could be ANYTHING as it just OOZES enthusiasm!

Very unique and cool venue for events. Nancy and her crew were great to work with. We catered a wedding with Atlas Catering tonight. The architecture and decor was one of a kind. Finished the night with our famous Dutch Poffertjes Bike!

The worse place ever to go to. The owner was horrible!! She would not leave us alone, and was straight baby sitting the whole party. She was giving my Tia a hard time at everything and would not let the kids out to play outside. She would also not let nobody leave the building once they’re in, and was always talking bad on us. Do not rent this place, it was hot and the owner is wicked.

Went to the Whistle Stop Depot as part of a work event. It is a unique and whimsical location. Walk around and look at all the art and enjoy the sounds of train rushing thru. It is a cool place

The owner is the worst!! She is so rude and entitled. She doesn’t give you enough information about set up time and fees until it’s too late and she can charge you. She walked around the party the whole time making everyone uncomfortable. She would not turn the air on until the party started so the metal building is hot the whole time. She also yelled at our kids for running in the dirt lot at the front, and said they were unsupervised. That was untrue several parents were outside watching the kids. She also refused to return the deposit saying the kids ruined her garden bed. There is no garden bed it was all weeds and dirt. But from other reviews it seems like she makes up any excuse to hold the deposit. Save your money don’t rent this space!!!

* edit : I was part of Monique’s party and at no time was anyone told there were off limit space. The kids were being kids and playing outside. How can the owner say Chuck E Cheese wouldn’t have them? Our kids were better behaved then the owner. And P.S. we have had a few party’s at Chucks place and they did a better job hosting than this lady.

Never go here. The owner was weird as all get out and yelled at our kids. She threw away FULL BEERS and wouldn’t leave us alone when we were trying to have fun.

She shouldn’t be running a business and was insanely unprofessional. They didn’t check a single ID either. Staff was great but owner was completely unprofessional. I would recommend her getting a new profession.

Do not recommend. I would give her zero stars if I could.

We just attended a big birthday party event at the Whistle Stop Depot and enjoyed a really great catered meal in a very nice envrionment. We have lived in Tucson for about 17 years and I never knew this placed existed. The grounds were nice, the food was great, and the service was very good. This place is aptly named as the nearby passing trains blow their whistles as they pass. The number of trains passing provided some of the atmosphere but there weren't so many that it became annoying. If I had to plan a big event and wanted a place with some rustic atmosphere I would definitely consider this place.
