My husband and I loved this little museum! Definitely recommend, especially if you live in the area. You get a really great glimpse at local history and the building is beautiful as well! The museum is free which is great if you’re looking for fun things to do on a budget. Columbiana is also super cute so it’s a nice place to walk around and enjoy the day after you visit the museum.

Terrific resource for Shelby and surrounding counties. Records are well kept and they are continually working to get as much scanned and available online as volunteer time permits. Very helpful. The museum has many terrific artifacts and is very well displayed. Must take time to see it if you are in the area. Great resource for Homeschooling as well.

This is a wonderful museum not visited as often as it should be visited....
This place is located in a classic Southern Courthouse and houses unique artifacts. The Staff is attentive, caring and will answer any question that you may pose. Stop by, take your time and enjoy!!!
