Genealogy Room is a large room filled with many types of source for one's research. This includes books, C.D.s, D.V.D.s, copied records put into soft back manuscript format. There are donated binders of family information. There are maps of the area. If you have or have ever had family in this area, a visit to this library will be time well spent. Nancy is quick and willing to help anyone in any way she can to find your personal family surnames available data. There is a copy machine available to copy found information or records. This is where I spend the majority of my library time.
Give the Searcy Co. Library a try. You might even say hello to the librarian, Pat, and tell her where you came from to see the library. If you live in the area then you should be aware of the many books to check out, book sales at times, activities offered to give you some enjoyment.
Take advantage of this library as they work hard to keep it updated and a library in which to be proud.
