This 100 year old plus train depot is in St Joe AK. It is currently a historical museum however I was not able to go in as it is currently closed do to covid.i really did enjoy some of the historical exhibits outside. I especially liked the caboose on display which was recently moved here from nearby Harrison. Other than the tracks by depot it nearly impossible to tell where the original Missouri & North Arkansas railroad would have passed through at the turn of the previous century.

Neat little museum I happened upon on my drive up to Ponca! Clean, tidy displays with a wealth of history for the area and Arkansas all housed in a well maintained station. Love trains? I recommend visiting!

This is a small but very intresting museum. The two volunteers were happy to share the history and thier knowledge of the station and the artifacts. Keep in mind that right now it us only open on weekends. Definitely worth the stop.

Fun little stop on a Saturday afternoon to learn more about the Missouri & North Arkansas Railway and the depot in St Joe. Finally passing through on the only day open and enjoyed chatting with one of those responsible for maintaining the small museum.

The St. Joe Depot in mountainous Searcy County was built in 1902 to serve the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad. It was restored by the citizens of St. Joe after serving as a church, school and feed store after closing as a rail station in 1946. It was listed on the National Register on September 16, 1993.

Great learning place to bring the kids to learn about trains, weighing packages, and learning about the ways they used to call. Thank you to the man and woman helping my children learn.
