I've attended several events at the Vortex Dome over the years. It's a very flexible venue. First and foremost, it's great for immersive visual presentations - like SenseARound for the eyes. Second, it's a very comfortable space for gatherings ranging from seminars to dance events. Finally, the location at the center of L.A. is easy to get to from every corner of the region. I will certainly attend more events there.

Full disclosure: I am a visual artist. My work has been presented there on numerous occasions, including the current "Mesmerica".

Mesmerica could've be relaxing if it wasn't for the musician jumping around creating big distractions. Too much self promotion spoiled the intended mind connection experience. The seats should be arranged in circular to yield better viewing. I would be wrong if the goal was to watch the guy who played steel drums.

MESMERICA. WHERE WILL IT TAKE YOU? ....Nowhere!!...Unfortunately! Most of the images are of low quality and boring. In 2019 we can do better... The music not impressively at all. Considering the fact that you expect to "take a journey, engage your senses and feelings with a miraculous alchemy of sound and light", that's very underwhelming. Moreover, it's too expensive. Don't waste your money! The only positive thing is the message. PEACE AND LOVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
