I am not an art expert, but still really enjoyed walking through this part of the garden. Many different parts to this gallery, I specifically enjoyed the eerie boat and moon exhibit, Drifting Towards Twilight by Betye Saar. There's also a couple pieces by Andy Warhol worth checking out. Admission included with the rest of the garden.

It's a spacious, empty museum if you arrive early, when they just open. I managed to take some photos good for my Instagram (@mi1kpuddings) (The actual museum is a lot brighter, but it's just my photo taking style)

Gorgeous pieces of art, especially in the rooms of portraits. At that period, paintings were commissioned, so the person who orders it can determine what the painter should portray. Pay attention, you’ll learn a lot!

This Museum contains a wide array of American art, from fabulous marble sculptures to metal cooking utensils, to a reconstructed room from a prairie style home, and three of the most famous George Washington portraits in the world. My only complaint is that the light was very low in a number of the galleries which made it hard for my father to see the art, due to his macular degeneration. People with vision issues might not do well in some of these galleries.

Great art gallery. Really nice place to spend an afternoon looking at art pieces. Was not crowded. We enjoyed our visit. We saw 1/2 and will return to see 2nd half.
