Came here as a birthday surprise from my three other girlfriends. Upon walking in, I was overwhelmed with the selection of items to paint. I literally stood there for at least 10 minutes trying to figure out what I want to paint and bring home. I ended up with the mini pot and spoon to match my pots at home. We chose to sit outside in an opened area behind the shop so the fumes wouldn’t be too much and fresh air on a nice day. The back was conveniently located nearby a sink so we could wash-up afterwards. There’s so many colors and paint brushes, too, so don’t be worried colors or supplies running low. I fell in love with the speckled paint and used it all over my pot. My friend is the point of contact and were suppose to have heard from them Thursday for pick-up (we painted on a Monday) — so a three day turnaround but cannot wait to see my final product! Price for the items painted are reasonable too (my pot was around $20-25 dollars). I think the total was around $175 for 4 people but was a nice time to spend with my friends doing something different 🙂

PICK UP YOUR TAKE-HOME CERAMIC GLAZING NOW!!! (or BOOK A SESSION IN ONE OF THREE SMALL PRIVATE SMALL ROOMS) so excited they are open again. And the take home option is super cool. Choose your unglazed piece and the glaze colors, paint at your own speed at home, bring it back for the clear glaze and firing by the shop. People are having so much fun with this!

Was pretty fun visiting here. Kind of pricy for what it was, but it is the only ceramic painting studio in sf. The paints are a bit crusty and their brushes are not the best compared to ceramic painting studios I've been to in other cities.

When I went to pick up my ceramic they had several marks on it, they said it was "their mistake" but they didn't offer any other solutions. Also, they said it was dishwasher safe but afterwards my bowl cracked. 🙁

I had a very disappointing experience at this studio. I spent 4 hours painting a ceramic and was told it would be ready for pickup in a week. I returned yesterday to I learn that my piece had been mistakenly given away to another customer.

Although they refunded me – they declined my request for additional studio credit to create a new piece, and showed little empathy for the wasted time and effort. While I understand that mistakes happen, I’m truly disappointed with their handling of the situation and expected more accountability after an error on their part. If you value your time and artwork, I suggest finding another studio that will treat both with greater care.

Fun but maaaaan is it pricy! They charge both for the items and the time spent there. We spent $200 for five people.

When you walk in the store, to the right is a wall of items you can pick from to paint. There's cups, plates, cows, cats, bowls. The wall to the left has samples of items painted for inspiration and different colors of paints to pick from. The pottery has various prices, small and large pieces. It's $10 a person to paint and then the cost of the pottery. Painting can take several hours so find a table you're most comfortable and start working. If you don't know what you're doing, the staff will help you and explain the process.

What I've done here several times is book a birthday party. You can call or go in and get pricing. They have a private backroom for the private birthday party, you get hte room for 1 1/2 hrs. One a nice day, you can use the patio area right outside the backroom to have cake and food. This is great because the kids have lots of fun and in about a week, you come back and pick up the pottery which they wrap in paper.

If you want to paint ceramics, go here. They have a huge variety of colors and I have painted candle holders, cups, pet bowls, etc. It’s a great place to make homemade kitchenware and other things.

I was taken there on mother's day by my daughter and granddaughter and we all had a great time. A huge selection of pottery to paint and the people working there are very it very organized and helpful. It was my second time there and I would go again.
