Nice alternative gallery that is part of the UAB complex of arts. Modern and experimental exhibits of professionals and amateurs artists. And it is free to visit.

Great place on UAB's campus. Truly a wonderful addition since my undergrad days. It had a wonderful feel, good design, and nice courtyards on each side.

I attended several small ensemble musical events featuring local classical and jazz musicians at this small 3 gallery located across the street from the concert hall on UAB campus. This University Art Museum features art work by student artists and hosts special interesting thought provoking art installations from local artists. A nice addition to Birmingham.

I love visiting the AEIVA to see what they are currently displaying. Their exhibits are typically very thought-provoking and intriguing, which I think is a really good move for the university. I have not been able to visit since they reopened to the public after COVID, but I love this art museum!

Beautiful venue. Can't say that I really enjoyed the exhibit, but maybe I just didn't appreciate that art.

Randall Stout designed the building and created a wonderful open space for a gallery featuring local and national artists. Even though it is called Institute for visual arts, I have seen and listened to several concerts that feature local neo-classic composers that interact with a particular exhibition. A very culturally satisfying experience.

I attended an event. Everything started on time. There were three gallery rooms that are connected. The art and ambience was enjoyable. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly.
