The entire staff including the owners are amazing, talented, inspiring, and kind individuals. The studio is so much fun ? it's definitely kid friendly!! My daughter loves it there as well.

My husband and I take from Hugo and think he’s fantastic. He does a great job customizing the lesson for our needs. He gives me tips on how to protect my bad shoulder while dancing, and he makes analogies between dance and sports for my husband who has an athletic background. All the instructors are friendly and encouraging. Highly recommend!

My husband and I started here one month ago. These instructors are all great—both welcoming and supportive. We can’t give them enough praise. We have learned so much in a short time, but we still have a long, fun, way to go.

We are on our second instructor at AMDC, Hugo, and he is wonderful. He did a great job at picking up where our last instructor left off, and we love seeing his face every week. Hugo does an excellent job at deciding when to add more instruction or just keep practicing a given step sequence for the moment, he has been adding the perfect amount of new and rehearsed skills for each lesson. He is really great at adapting to your learning style and giving you the lesson the way you can understand it. Also, when watching us practice new steps, he has a very keen eye and gives bullseye tips between sequences. I seriously feel like we are having a top notch lesson when we go. As a novice with very average rhythm, I come away feeling excited and enthusiastic about how much I just learned and did, at each lesson... and I'm just not sure it would be this fun or come as easy as it seems without the experience that Hugo creates. Our first instructor was also fantastic, and we were nervous to see her go and get to know a new instructor, but apparently that's just how they roll at Arthur Murray Dance Centers! Thanks for keeping it awesome, Hugo!

A friend recommended the Arthur Murray Mesa to me after taking a few lessons with her husband; she sent me the link to the website, which was very well-designed, informative, and helpful. I called and made an appointment with the very polite receptionist. The building was easy enough to find as the website has clearly-printed instructions. The dance instructor, Brian, was fun and put me at ease right away. He was incredibly patient with me and worked at my pace until I was comfortable with the basic moves. It was something I never thought I'd be interested in, and I have an appointment with the same instructor next week. If you're looking to learn ballroom dancing, the Arthur Murray Mesa is definitely the first place I'd recommend.

Over four weeks ago my wife and I and another couple contacted the owner for private dance lessons. Since we are all small business owners and in the Mesa, Gilbert and Apache Junction Chambers of Commerce, we were happy to work with a struggling business ( I say this because there were multiple posts on Facebook from the owner offering all kinds of discounts and accommodations to get customers in the door). We requested private lessons for the four of us and were willing to pay extra to ensure this arrangement. The owner, Bob Powers was thrilled to have the business and was very happy with our request UNTIL the night before we were set for our lessons and said he had additional couples and would NOT be able to meet our reservations after all. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. We all changed our schedules to make this appointment but he absolutely didn't care. "We are getting busier and there is just no way....." okay, fine, get busy with winter visitors but we will remember who kept their word when the summer comes and once again you are begging for business. As far as I am concerned this is not a man who keeps his word, so he is not worth giving any business to in the future.
The owners response is completely misleading. We have an email from TJ who spoke with Jen and Bob. NO ONE asked you to close an entire studio down, and our lesson was for 30 minutes not 3 hours. You asked us to change the time from 7:15 to 5:45 to accommodate another group coming to you. Which we agreed to, even though it inconvenienced us. You clearly have very poor communication with your own staff and abysmal communication with customers. I have all the texts and emails and would be happy to post them. Just give the word.

So your response is to dig up a bad review from 3 years ago and post it. That really shows who you are. And that review on yelp was actually for the shop across from me. I posted an actual issue. When i get a bad review, I handle it properly ,like a professional, not try to trash the person. Some of my best customers came from bad reviews which I found our errors and corrected them. If it wasn't for those bad reviews i couldn't have grown to where we are today. You might try the same. Imagine if you handled this differently? We could have been a good source of repeat business and referrals.

An amazing studio! My 12 year old daughter is taking lessons and loves everything about it, especially the instructors. Everyone is so nice and genuinely wants to not only help you become a better dancer, but enjoy the learning process as well. Their passion for dancing and people is infectious!

These people are truly amazing they are such great teachers always positive and never give up on you! They will always make you smile and you will always enjoy yourself my dance instructor is awesome I would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn ballroom
