My father was in this facility for more than a month and in the beginning there were some challenges, but once we both spoke up about what he needed, things changed for the better. All the staff was very understanding and helpful with whatever my dad needed to be comfortable at Aviara. We especially loved Magdalena, the CNA and also Hugo the RN. They work so hard to get all their patients what they need. Angela the Case Manager, was and still is very helpful with my dad’s discharge, making sure he has everything he needs in my home now. My dad said he is definitely going to miss being there because he started to like his routine and all the staff. Thank you so much for taking good care of my father!

Trying to find a skilled nursing facility for a loved one is not an easy or enjoyable process. And the way that Medicare is set up makes it particularly frustrating if your family member needs cancer treatment. My sister and I have been in a stressful loop trying to help our father find a place to recover after his recent hospital stays. Aviara has come through for us. We appreciate the friendliness and hard work of Thrina, especially as she helped sort out a room readiness issue for our dad. We've also been impressed with the nurses, Brittaney, Emily, and Evelyn, as they've already helped us feel more at ease. And the food management staff member who came and spoke to our dad about his diet needs a shout out as well. Our father has a sorely limited pallet, and we appreciate any help we can get in finding solutions to get him more nutrition. There's no way to feel "good" about a situation like ours and no matter what SNF he ended up at, we knew we would need to stay involved and be present when we can to advocate for him, but that being said, Aviara has been open and inviting to us.
Currently, Aviara is going through a refurbishing process. There is a wing of the building that has not yet been updated and it looks pretty rough, which is why I am so glad to know that they are changing things. Our father was in one of the older rooms the first time he came in, now he is in one of the refurbished rooms and it makes us all the more grateful that they are making this investment. That effort is more than can be said about other SNFs we looked into.
It's our sincerest hope that he can recover and go home, with our continued support and the assistance of the staff at his new temporary residence. And even if he doesn't recover as we hope, the biggest help is knowing that he can receive some consistency and kindness where he is.

Our Mother was a patient at your facility for a little over four weeks, even though there were some glitches at first, everything was taken care of by Brooke. We were very satisfied with all the staff as well as physical therapy team & Doctor.

So far my brother has been there over a month and the care has been the best . He had a stroke at 53 on 12/25/2023
And also every hospital and facility have not given him the care he’s getting here .
Staff is professional, caring , shows empathy toward others as well .
Clean rooms , hallways etc . And no smelly facility.
I noticed no employees leaning against the walls and chitchatting. Everyone is helping .
I will refer this place as my Number 1 . And they also keep me posted with updates…..Deborah . .

This place is the best! We have been looking for a place for my brother for the longest time and have been at several facilities throughout San Diego county. The caring and energetic staff, cleanliness of the grounds and huge windows that pull in light all day are huge amenities. The food is great as well and my brother is well fed and seems very very happy, happier than he has been in a long long time. Thank you to all of the staff at Aviara!

Always clean. Very attentive and helpful staff that speaks good English. The patient I was visiting was there for over 3 weeks. She thought the staff was sweet and helpful and she liked the food. One thing I will say is PAY ATTENTION to the physical therapy the patient is getting. Sometimes the therapist, while sweet, push the patients too hard. The patient I was seeing is 100 years old and had had a fall. The PT had the patient do leg lifts with weights. That lead to soreness that caused the patient A LOT of pain because the leg was already injured from the fall. So as a family member SHOW UP at one or two of the therapy sessions just to monitor what ia going on.

Great staff, social services and case manager are compassionate and resourceful and advocating for patient needs as they transition home.
I came to visit a couple patients that are our clients as we are helping them find a senior living community
Our client said that she really likes it here.
I love my time visiting clients and knowing when they have good care.

This is the second time that I have been in aviara rehab and I wouldn't choose another place I have had nothing but positive treatment here starting from the CNAs all the way up through the nurses and especially the rehab I have received with OT and PT if you are looking for a rehab for yourself or someone you know are a family member please consider aviara as I don't believe you will find a better place to get rehab done by caring loving people
