I was hoping that this would be my new church home. After my third visit, I realized that this church was not for me when Politics became part of the message. I attend church to listen to God‘s word and learn how to become a better Christian. I don’t go there to hear the pastor praise one side of the aisle while bashing the other. In my opinion, Politics have no place in the church.

I've always thought it a little funny to write a review of a church online because it is such a personal experience, but I feel like I need to say that through Awaken, God has been transforming me. I am so proud of this church for reopening during the ridiculous shutdowns of 2020/2021 and breathing life into people every week despite the demands not to! Great leadership and a wonderful family atmosphere are what you will find!

The Holy Spirit is at AWAKEN church. I was raised Catholic and fell away from God because the enemy told me lies, hardened my heart, and sent me down the path full of false light found in the occult and New Age. Forty years later, I came back to Christ with the help of this church, I now read the Bible, pray, repent, forgive and have an intimate relationship with God, and he's transformed me in many areas of my life. Also, this church has poured into me and engaged me so I am no longer oppressed and isolated, and they facilitated deliverance through the power of Jesus Christ. I've begun serving, which helps me make friends and pour God's love into others. Not only do they teach straight from the Bible with the foundation in His Word, and they dont shy away from discussing sin, the spirit we see influencing culture, and identifying the deception of the enemy. Ephesians 6:12 is legit. This church is taking spiritual territory from the principalities, and satan is not pleased. I am meeting incredible people whose lives are being transformed by God through this church.
God has changed me in so many ways since I began coming to AWAKEN 4 years ago, and I'm am so so thankful to God for showing me His truth, love and forgiveness.

Awaken has changed my life for the better. Since coming here 5 years ago my relationship with God has deepened, my friendships have flourished, my job/finances have increased, and I am learning to walk in the power and authority given to me as a believer of Jesus Christ.
Awaken is one of the biggest reasons that I want to stay planted in San Diego. I couldn’t ask for more from a church. They help disciple you, and if you allow yourself to be “all in” you WILL experience radical change!!!! They are FUN & HOLY and I’m here for it! So Thankful and Blessed by this incredible ministry.

I would say Awaken church is The BEST in every way. I was so touched by faith filled message and the anointing prayer by pastors. People are so alive and joyful. Definitely the Holy Spirit filled and the gospel centered church.

There's the presence of the resurrecting King Jesus.
