The Bauxtie Museum hours are Sundays 1:30 pm - 4:30pm and Wednesdays from 10:00qm to 2:00 pm. Also there is bingo on tuesdays at 6:30pm! I have come here for family reunions as a child. I got to go by for a bit today. I was greeted by a kind gentleman. It was such a lovely time seeing some of the area again. I am so grateful to see where my family came from and what this city's incredible history is.

My wife and I took a tour of this museum while doing research for her upcoming book "Arkansas Oddities: The Supernatural State" which will release later this year. The Bauxite Museum was so much more informative than I expected having grown up in neighboring Bryant, AR. Lots of history and even legends of a haunting. If you're in Central AR, take the short trip to Bauxite and check it out.

A quaint place with some nice exhibits related to local history. It is run by volunteers and open limited hours on Wednesday and Sunday. They might be able to generate more revenue with a gift shop offering a few items.
