Absolutely a very beautiful place, very clean and well kept, plenty of bathrooms around. The trails are very peaceful with plenty of opportunities to take really good photos, and to inhale fresh air. There are both I guess you could say semi paved, and dirt pathways, so you can basically choose your adventures.
You can go into the house for tours when available, and they also have a gift shop.
Parking is 8.00 Dollars for all day, open from 8-4 pm.
No pets, no picnic's, no food or drinks are allowed on the grounds, as well as no bike's.
There are plenty of benches inserted around that you can sit and just take in the views around you, or just sit and enjoy the sounds and calm.
All in all I would say it was worth the drive to experience such a beautiful place, and if you get the chance, please stop in, the people that work here are very friendly and helpful and can answer any questions you may have.

The smell of fresh cut grass on small yet beautiful trails make this a perfect place for a sunny afternoon. The women's sharing art gallery just blew me away with the incredible talent! It's just before the gift shop that's so tempting and much better than most gift shops I've been to.

I highly recommend for solo, couples and families. Will definitely return. It's a hidden gem and worth a drive out to experience the peaceful greenery. Lots of friendly, happy people here. It's a welcoming community.

What an amazing place to walk and visit. Yes, it was cold but the views are breathtaking. You forget you are on Long Island. There is even a cafe called the Hidden Oak Cafe and a Tea Room. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya!

Great place. Very peaceful and beautiful on a nice day. A little bit of space is flooded but it’s not a big deal.

Charging for car is located inside and cost $8 per day.

I would spend more time at the flower garden and enjoy watching the bee.

Nice experience. Attended their afternoon tea service in the Hidden Oak Cafe. Very festive, nice tea service with an exceptional diversity of tea flavors. Nice grounds. Ample parking. Easy to get to via highway.

Very beautiful landscape. I went mid-May and again mid-September. Great place to take a nature walk, learn names of new plants and trees, see chickens, and spend some time in the spectacular Dahlia Garden.

This is a hidden gem. Great place to visit on a hot day. The walk by the waters edge always feel cooler due to the gentle breeze. There are many benches to just sir and relax. I particularly love visiting the Dahlia garden. Flowers are spectacular to see in person. The varieties of Dahlias they have are incredible. For me it's a perfect Summer day spot!

We had a beautiful day. Five friends and I met at the Arboretum and walked around the grounds. There's a new modern all glass visitors center/gift shop. We also saw some wild turkeys, chickens and a beautiful dahlia garden. There's also a restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating, but they only had outdoor available and people were complaining about a lot of bees, so we skipped it. It was a lovely day and we got a lot of exercise to boot!
