Staff was friendly. Good location. They loose stars for the run down rooms and keys. Our room key kept resetting and we'd have to get it re-programmed each time. Apparently if it's next to a cell phone it resets them. Never had that with any other hotel before. Also the bathroom fan was broken. They need to upgrade this place.

My husband and I stay here at least once a year because of the customer service and value. I was surprised and happy to get a phone call from Raj at the front desk about 15 minutes after getting in the room. He wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I also appreciated the bottled water, snack and fruit bar in the bag upon our arrival. Raj came over to help with a light bulb, and housekeeping brought an extra set of towels immediately. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Placerville but far enough way for a peaceful night. My go-to hotel in the gold country.

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We arrived around 12:30am after a long day, just wanting to get some peaceful rest. The parking lot is quite small and the lobby was pretty dark and not super welcoming. We got our keys and went to the side door to find our room. As soon as we stepped into the hall, there was a terrible smell throughout the hallway that smelled like extremely rotten carpet. The hall definitely looked outdated and looked more like a dirty motel than a nice Best Western Plus. There are no elevators, so you have to take the stairs. Our room looked outdated, and they gave us a conjoining room. We could hear the people next door as if they were in our own room. Given that we arrived so late, we felt as though we couldn't talk, listen to the TV, or make any sort of noise without disturbing the people next door. The room was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it had never been cleaned before. There was something on the wall that appeared to be blood, there was a stain in the sink, the toilet had stains in it and looked like it hadn't been cleaned, the shower tub was covered in black mold and mildew. Our front door wasn't sealed at all and had a huge gap at the bottom of it that led out into the hall. The worst part of it all was the bed. The headboard was covered in scratches and a dried white substance (if you know, you know). We didn't even bother trying the breakfast considering how disgusting our room was, we assumed the breakfast wouldn't be good by any means. We were absolutely disgusted and horrified at the state of this hotel. I've always stayed at Best Westerns and I've never seen one like this. I don't think I will be staying at another Best Western anytime soon again after this. Don't stay here if you can help it.

Fantastic stay at the Best Western Plus Placerville Inn!! ||We came with our family from the Bay area. The hotel is conveniently located to Apple Hill, Folsom and Sacramento. The staff was super nice from check in to check out. They have a great restaurant right next to the hotel. We didn't need to drive anywhere for dinner after we checked in. A BIG PLUS was the breakfast. Its a full hot breakfast with ton of options. My kids loved the yogurt machine. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we come up to Tahoe.

The door would not seal shut completely. There was a massive spider that was killed on the wall and left. The pillows were a complete joke. They looked like a decorative throw pillow. When you laid your head on them they barely reach your neck and were thinner than a sheet of paper. If you decided to turn your head to get comfortable you were falling off the pillow. The mattress was hard lumpy and very squeaky good luck trying to get out of bed without waking up everyone else in your room. The air conditioner kept shutting off. We tried to open the window to get more air movement but when we opened the window it had no screen on it! How is that safe? The window completely can open and someone can fall out. Lastly when checking out there was no one at the desk there were 4 other people waiting and we were there for over 20 min. I walked over to the breakfast area to see if someone could help us and the lady said that the person was in the bathroom and she wished she could help but did not know how the system works... seriously? How can no one be at the desk during check out hours for over 20 min? Then the girl said that we could have left the key card on the counter...they should have a basket or something that says to put key cards here for check out like other hotels we have been to. Over all I was very dissatisfied and exhausted from a terrible experience.

Front desk people were very friendly and new their job. The cleaning staff was super nice!
It was a clean room!
The bed was a lumpy mess.
Clock didn't have a light in it so I could see the time at night
No mute of the TV remote. I wouldn't say I liked listening to the commercials.
The bathroom sink faucet was loose.
I had to get new key cards 3 times because they constantly would not work.
The Pepsi machine took my money, however, the front desk reimbursed me and gave me a Pepsi.

They say every room door is extra wide enough for wheel chair. All hallways extra wide. All bathrooms are big enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Isn't it logical then, that there is an elevator to get the wheel chair to the second or third floor? False advertising. We were forced to change to the first floor. I dinr care what floor we are on. But if I book a king size bed, because you advertise I will have no problems on any floor. You better get me the same room on the bottom floor. Better yet. Don't make false claims.

Don’t expect to get hot water in shower in morning time when it’s busy. Response from maintenance team (and front desk) was to just wait while other rooms finish taking shower and then I’ll get hot water in shower.

This will ruin our day now
