Bloc 15 Event Venue was the location for the Fans' Fan Fest last Saturday (2/24/2024). What John Fisher and Dave Kaval would not do, two grassroot organizations organized and planned this event for the fans of baseball. The fans came out and supported this event. Baseball is not gone from Oakland. It is alive and well in Oakland.

Bloc 15 was rocking with numerous sponsors and vendors. Even several former Oakland A's players spoke to us fans. My brother and I had a blast. The event was bomb-diggity great. Thanks to Oakland 68's and the Last Dive Bar for their dedication and diligence for putting all this together for all to enjoy. My daughter is part of the Oakland 68's and she was there to help at the fan fest. Right on!

The weather was perfect, and even my school (Oakland Tech) was reppin' at this event. I made a donation to Tech's soccer team and came away with a purple and gold jersey. Say it loud, I'm from Tech and I'm proud.

Per the setup at the first event I'd attended there (Camp Kamala), venue had plenty of space for multiple tables, a stage at one end, buffet & drink station at the other end, and multiple accessible restrooms along one side. Venue is ADA accessible & is right near #12 AC Transit stops, Amtrak & a short walk to the Ferry at Jack London Square. It's a short bus ride to/from the 12th Street BART Station, and there's some street parking, as well as Parking Lots nearby. It's literally a block over from the Amtrak station. (I was tempted to take an Amtrak to the Richmond Station, even though it would cost more than taking a bus to BART, because I enjoy chilling on an Amtrak train. If a train already at the station hadn't been "last call" while I waited for the #12, I probably would've gotten a ticket for the next one, but I just wanted to get home & nap. heh heh)

During the event, I happened to sit in a seat smack dab below an air vent, so I was a bit cold the whole day. But if you know someone who always runs hot, maybe they would love to sit in that exact same spot. I'm sure the event space is also versatile enough to make sure tables aren't or are under an air vent, depending on your needs.

The outside is a bit industrial, but hip. This event space would definitely be great for office parties, launch events, etc.
