In all honesty this school saved my life & reinforced my inner strength. Although I had to move far from the area to take care of family obligations, I'd come back here & attend classes immediately, like yesterday. My instructors were so adroit & took their positions as well as the students with the absolute seriousness. I attended classes both on & off of the campus, unlike one school, I always felt safe here. Brookdale provided not just an education but several valuable resources both before & after graduation. I highly recommend this institution to many people in the Monmouth county area (& beyond over the years) & will continue to do so. All of whom were equally satisfied with their experience at Brookdale. Thank you so much for having my back & expanding my mind, I'm eternally grateful

Teachers aren’t the greatest I’ve only liked 4 teachers out of almost 2 years of being here. I am on my own teaching myself calculus one of the harder maths and it’s not good. Students in the class are correcting her on many things since they had previously taken calc in highschool. When I had my philosophy class, I had a question during break to ask my professor and her answer was to me ā€œ I have to go eat my M&Ms so you can email meā€ unprofessional and I had to go to the writing and reading center to help me and they couldn’t understand the material since it was so hard and I couldn’t ask my teacher. Also, one out of my 2 advisors has recommended me wrong class to take and took bio for no reason wasting my time, money, and effort that needed to be put elsewhere into a class I didn’t need. Barely made solid friends and had an experience where I was followed and filed a report.

The amenities such as math lab are great and I’ve had one amazing education professor Christy DeVito I recommend her class to everyone majoring in education! I am going for secondary math education she was the best teacher for her class that covered a lot of material that was important for future to know.

Please take Michael Nolan and Daniel Lopez for math they are awesome for the higher maths! I enjoyed their class. Also Professor Johnathan Moschberger is amazing he is also a reason why I take big pride in my honors program and currently in his class he loves to hear your voice and lets us get out in the real world and find out for ourselves which I loved!

Leaving in spring since the results weren’t what I expected.

I completed 2 years at Brookdale before transferring to Monmouth University to finish my Bachelor’s degree. I was part of the Elementary Education program here and loved it! All of the professors were wonderful and I especially enjoyed Dr. Raj’s Educational Psychology class. I ended up double-majoring at Monmouth University before deciding to pursue English as my primary major. I now work in Marketing, but credit my experience at Brookdale for helping me rediscover my passion for writing.
My advice for students: Take advantage of the free resources on campus. The writing and math centers are a great help for many, and the student-run clubs offer additional opportunities to connect and meet new people. The professors want you to succeed, so, do your best, ask questions, and you will go far.

Great school but some counselors and advisors are very rude and unprofessional… just got off the phone with one and she spoke to me very condescendingly when I asked her a question about financial aid. Not a huge deal but it is quite annoying.

I got my associates here before going on to get my Bachelor's of Science at a 4 year University. The teachers at Brookdale are amazing, and most are genuinely invested in their students education and success. The teachers were often better than what I experienced at my 4 year University, where professors are focused on research and not the students. Going here first was the best decision I could have made, for both my education and my wallet.

I was preparing my master's program and taking some transitional courses at Brookdale - it was a great experience. Like in any public school, students need to be proactive and actively searching for help. Even though it is a community college, Brookdale has a good teaching staff combining with part-time and full-tim staff. I had three Math classes and was lucky to have some great caring instructors. In order for students to be successful, Brookdale Math and Comp Sci department also hold "lab hours", which is a walk in service where students can get help from staff members. This helped me tremendously to reach good grades and truly understand the materials.

I was hesitant about getting the vaccine but I knew it was my duty to do so in an effort to protect myself and others around me from this deadly pandemic. The staff and especially the medical crew made me feel so comfortable and at ease and the procedure was almost painless. I'm so grateful for this appointment and to the Health Care workers for their tireless dedication in this most important endeavor. God Bless you all. Stay Safe, Carolyn
