First room I was offered had dirty carpet and dirty duvets on the beds. Not just scuffs from laundry equipment or pen marks, but stuff with dimension . Asked for a new room. Second room was worse. Same gross duvets, plus used napkins and dried up food on the floors. Requested a refund as I wanted to leave the hotel at this point. Front desk staff member called the manager who refused my request. Offered a third room that I did not want. Why would this be different!! Front desk staff member could not authorize my refund, so she accompanied me to a third room- which was worse than the first two. Visibly dirty sheets in addition to the same nasty duvets, dirty floors and an unclean bathroom. She took photos. At this point she offered me a room on the third floor that they usually reserve for flight crews from the Tallahassee airport. Different housekeeping staff, less used rooms. This FOURTH room was clean. Given that it was 9:30 PM, I was exhausted from traveling all day- in the midst of a 2,000 mile cross country move- I did not have the energy to fight for a refund so I accepted the room. But, I will never stay at a IHG property again. They should have offered a refund upon inspection of the first 3 rooms. Unacceptable policy. The front desk staff member did as much as she could. It is not a reflection on her performance.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It’s hard to rate the “service” as we didn’t require any service. Room cleaning is only provided with a 7 day stay, and we stayed 6. The only integration we had was with the front desk, which was fine. The bed was comfortable. A good mixture of soft, yet firm. The air conditioning worked great. That was in October, not the hottest time of the year. I’d recommend this hotel to others.

When I am travelling, I choose Candlewood Suites whenever available. I love that the rooms are so spacious, the beds so comfortable, and that the kitchen provides all that I need to feel like I am at home. I love that I can do my laundry there without having to pay extra to use the equipment. I love that my dog is welcome too.

Amazing customer service. The room exceeded expectations. I loved the layout of the room. I got a goods night rest. The hotel wasn’t noisy and everything worked perfectly. Definitely would recommend to family.

My wife and i checked in around 9pm. We went to go to sleep and pulled back the covers to get in bed when we saw black hairs on the fitted sheet. At that point I decided to take the linens downstairs to have them swapped out because they looked dirty and smelled like urine. When we pulled the fitted sheet off we found that the mattress protector was solied and dirty and rancit with urine. I took them downstairs and the lady behind the desk had a hard time finding the correct size for the bed. We ended up with a twin mattress cover and 2 queen pillow covers for a king size bed. Apparently this was not reported because the next morning the front desk was not aware of it. They sent someone up along with the maid who was have supposed to clean the room to let her know that i had a complaint. Of course the maid indicated that she was not responsible because she was not on duty the day before. Then at night the refrigerator kept making a clunking sound. We had to turn on the bathroom fan to mute the kitchen sound. We will not be staying here again.

Okay place to stay if you need a roof over your head. Room was nice. AC doesn't work at night no matter what you do. Absolutely no breakfast. They have food items to purchase but way over priced. They have one coffee machine that has a line in the morning. I will most likely stay at another IHG place if you can find one. Definitely will be a last resort stay for me.

Not as good Good of it experience as prior visits. First was the heater air conditioning was not working when we got to our room. 1st morning faucet in shower was broken ,had to wait almost 2 hours for the repair to be able to shower.Almost missed daughter's graduation From Florida state university. Staff was not the friendliest this time. Not sure.If we'll stay there again in the future.

We stay here every time we come to Tallahassee. Rates are very affordable. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. Its location is quiet and safe.
