My experience with Checkmat Jujitsu has truly been world class. What a family environment and top notch instruction. Professor Fabricio has a great teaching style and a genuine passion for his craft. He passes that on to his students from kids to adults (women & men). There are many class times to fit your busy schedule. It is great exercise and instruction at the same time. We are very fortunate to have Checkmat and professor Fabricio in this area. He has a free trial class to give you a feel of what to expect. I highly recommend this academy give it a try it just might change your life!

Checkmat Exeter is a great place to take your kids! Professor fabricio is so patient with kids. My 2 boys started jiujitsu with him at a different location and since he’s moved to Exeter we have taken the trip for our kids to still get some time in with him. Definitely makes jiujitsu a great fun experience!

I absolutely love everything about Checkmat Exeter. Very family oriented with a great atmosphere. Fabricio is very knowledgeable and has a great system of teaching. It’s very tough but rewarding, I train here and both my kids train and we all love it. He pushes my kids limits but also encourages them to be uncomfortable but also confident. The growth I have seen in them is inspiring. Can’t say enough good things about Checkmat I highly recommend if you or your kids are interested in jiujitsu you come and just talk to them and watch some classes.

I am a seventeen-year-old high school student, and I’ve been training at Checkmat Exeter for about 5 weeks now. I absolutely love going here for a number of reasons.

Coach Fabricio is an amazing jiu-jitsu teacher. I appreciate his organized and logical teaching style. He teaches in blocks, with each block focusing on a basic position. In class he ensures that everyone understands the techniques, and during practice, he goes around to make sure everyone has got it, offering individual help when necessary.

I also like the schedule flexibility. There are multiple classes throughout the day, and you can attend whichever ones fit your schedule. You can go to as many classes as you want.

Coach Fabricio is professional and has respect for all his students, including women and children. He encourages us, but also pushes us to do our best. He is also dedicated to building a community. He doesn’t tolerate any negative behavior and is mindful of the group dynamic. We are more than just students; we are friends and a team. We work together to train and learn.

Best BJJ academy for both kids and adults! Fabricio is a wonderful coach and a great mentor. I started training at Checkmat when they first opened, I had no prior experience in jiu jitsu. It's intimidating jumping into a new sport or hobby but Fabricio was very uplifting and encouraging. He's great at showcasing techniques and with time and practice I saw myself improving and having a lot of fun along the way. Fabricio grew up in the jiu jitsu world and has so much knowledge and wisdom to share with all of his students. He is passionate and he cares a lot about the sport and his community and it shows.

Fabricio is an excellent teacher and coach. As a first time Jui Jitzu student I was apprehensive, but he teaches at your level and takes the time for you to understand. I highly recommend.
