Learned so much about working different types of machine. I was super nervous and excited because i have been wanting to learn wood working for years. The fee for the class and everything is listed on the site and experienced no rip off. It is a small local business that I would love to support more.

Had a great experience at the shop! My schedule is hectic and unfortunately can’t make the classes, but I did do a private lesson with Bob. In one afternoon, we created two cutting boards. Bob was very detailed with breaking down the process and using the machines. Honestly didn’t expect to make two cutting boards but Bob was proficient with time. I got really comfortable using the machines especially the table saw. I learned how to use the planer, jointer, miter saw, table saw, drill press, router, disk sander, and random orbital sander. Really recommend folks that are interested in woodworking with little to no experience to take the Safety Orientation and the Cutting Board class or private lessons. Looking forward to my next project at the shop!

It's a great place to make furniture and other wood objects, and to learn about basic and advanced woodworking, but what makes it truly unique is that it truly has a feeling of 'community.' As a veteran of numerous maker spaces, I can say this is not something that is easy to acheive.
The quality and variety of tools available is excellent, and I love the fact that I don't have to do any of the maintenance / sharpening / adjusting.
Members are extremely polite about sharing tools, and the staff is extremely helpful.
I used to have a woodshop in my studio, but I much prefer this environment. I find my productivity and workflow is improved by the fact that they have pretty much every tool, so all I need to bring is an idea and some wood.
Whether you are an expert, or an absolute beginner, I strongly recommend you drop by for a visit.

Be very careful. Scott will rip you off and will try to take advantage of you. I don't know if he's low on money or what but the guy referenced that because I drive a nice car he knew I could afford it. I urge you to be very cautious.

This is a great place to learn woodworking. I’ve taken several classes and used the shop for some personal projects. I hardly know what I’m doing half the time but I can always ask a question of the shop owners and get the opinion of a professional. And sometimes if they see me doing something that could be done better/differently, they will approach me and tell me. Everything you need is here and it is truly a great resource in the community.

When I turned 38 I realized I don't have a passion and decided to learn woodworking. So far I did 4 different classes with their team - and none of them dissapoint. Teachers are kind, patient, amazing, they make sure you understand all of the tools and processes, all in super safe enviroment. I tried many different woodshops in the past and Community Woodshop is the best out of all of them.

Also, super safe space for Queer people. Love, love, love.
