A great way to get your hands dirty (literally) learning pottery. We signed up for the 90-minute pottery basics class since I have never done pottery in my life. The class consists of 30 min of the instructor/owner Christina showing you the ropes while you follow along and the rest of the time, you can use it to practice your newly acquired knowledge and create your masterpieces.

You can sign up for the class through their website or Groupon (we got a pretty good deal for a pair of tickets). Each person would get 3 balls of clay for the whole session.

The class size is small so you get a pretty focused attention from Christina and you could easily see what she's doing. She's a really good instructor; telling you the little tricks or minor adjustments that she was doing that you might not notice.

If you are a total beginner like I was, I would recommend looking up some basic pottery videos prior to the class if you really want to maximize your time here. I did not do that and I forgot the in-between steps (even though the outline was written on the board) that would make your clay more malleable. But I still had a lot of fun doing it.

After the class, you get to select one piece that you'd want to take home and that piece would be cooked (is this the right term?) and would be ready in a few weeks. You can also add additional pieces for a fee.

I loved the experience and would love to learn more about pottery. Thank you for the great time, Christina!

Took a class with Cassandra for my birthday - did it with my husband who has never done ceramics and we had so much fun! Great balance of instruction and letting you take creative liberties. Will definitely book again!

I had a blast! Perfect date night. The studio is clean, good music playing in the background, and friendly (also patient) instructors. I bought a groupon and it was more than worth it.

My boyfriend got me the beginner’s class as a gift and it was such a fun experience. The instructor was great and super helpful. It was also really awesome we got to attempt more than once to keep practicing. Will definitely have to come back for another class !

Had a great first time with Cassandra for my wife’s birthday! Definitely recommend because I suck at artistic activities but it’s truly a wonderful experience.

I recently took my first pottery class at Cone 6 Ceramics, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the studio felt welcoming and inspiring. David, our instructor, was amazing—patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging. He made learning the techniques feel approachable, even for a total beginner like me.

The hands-on aspect of the class was so much fun, and I loved getting to experiment with the clay. By the end, I felt so proud of what I’d created (even if it wasn’t perfect). David’s passion for ceramics really shone through, and he made the whole process feel enjoyable and creative.

I’m already looking forward to signing up for another class and exploring more of what Cone 6 has to offer. Highly recommend this studio for anyone looking to try pottery for the first time or deepen their skills in a supportive environment!
