We had to avail the services of Continuing Education as part of a group cruise tour booking arranged as part of an Alumni Celebration of an engineering college based out of Kerala, India.

The bookings were paid and made like 10 months or so in advance. In the bookings themselves, there were errors made with the passport details and we had to make multiple iteration to get the bookings made, and to receive letters of invitation. This was despite sharing a copy of our passports and me dealing in their time zones calling up and conveying the gaps. An enterprise dealing with bookings all day long making such simple mistakes was a surprise to me.

Their availability was a bit difficult for us given we were based out of GMT+0530. What made it bad was the ability to reach out to them via phone- WhatsApp or cellular. Calls/messages were hardly returned until repeated during their working hours. I do not understand how can they not respond to messages that doesn’t come in their time of convenience. This kind of support when visiting a foreign land wasn’t very conducive.

Fast forward to the payment of the final due- my parents got two reminder emails spread apart 2-3 weeks and the 3rd week, the bookings were all cancelled and the money refunded to credit card.

Did they have my number- yes, did they have my email id, yes. Did they try to contact me- the person who’s done most of the talking and emailing- no. They did WhatsApp call my 68yo father at an unusual time for the very first time who would only think a call from a +1 number at that time would be a scam or so!

Lost the forex fees and taxes on my credit card and the $250 convenience fee which they agreed to use if we booked again from their agency which was a no-brainer for us. Not the level of service I’m used to which reflects my review of our interactions.

I called a few times to gather information on the cruise with the CME component as I have never been on a cruise before. I spoke to different people each time and they were not overly friendly and seemed very short on the phone when I would ask questions. The day I called to book, I found out the entire CME had been canceled with no explanation. Guess I'm glad I took my time looking into things and didn't rush to book.

Id stay away from this company and Julie as well!!! The educational conference on a cruise that was booked through this company was canceled. We were only going on the cruise for the conference. So when we contacted them about a refund, they said they'd only refund the $125 for the conference fee and have to give us credits towards a different cruise. The only problem with that is we are not able to travel in the time frame that the credits are good for. So basically they are trying to steal over $2000 as far as im concerned. They have not reached out to the cruise line to try to fight to get our money back. It was basically like oh well sorry! Just beware when booking!
