Beautiful place to walk along the ocean. It can be accessed in several places. I use the Headlands Park across from Taco Bell. The paved trail is great for walking, running, biking, or rollerblading. Just be considerate of the walkers.

I took my Mt. Bike and road around. It is such a beautiful day to ride, all pave and not crowded at all. You can easily get a good 10 mile ride.

An excellent stop on our homeschooling journey! The docent was very passionate and knowledgeable with lots of specimens displayed in a small, organized space full of natural light and even a living tidepool of creatures!
We called ahead because my elderly mother is too feeble to walk the .7 mile trail and they allowed us to drive in to the site.

Dog friendly beautiful year round great getaway for friends couples and families. Affordable pet friendly hotels nearby Amazing beautiful camping for both tents and RVs. I’m not sure if the camping is year round in every location. Can get a little crowded in the summer when people are trying to escape the heat. Do bring a sweater even in the summer as the coast gets cold quickly when the fog comes in. Parking was free.

Not recommended! This might have been interesting but no one was there! We walked quite far to get here, and even though it was only 1:30 pm on a Saturday, no one was here and it wad closed. No sign or anything about reduced hours or why they were closed. I wouldn't waste my time.

Because I have some disabilities they allow me to drive to the center. Normally a .7 mi walk from parking lot. Docent was very informative and friendly. Small aquarium, blue whale bones and story of how they got them and much more. Everyone should check it out.
