Sometimes the most popular places are the most mediocre in taste. Del's is touted as the best spot to eat in town! I can say they offer some fantastic prices for a meal, and the service and atmosphere is quite good (cute store!). The food however, caters to everyone. That is to say, unremarkable, bordering on bland or over seasoned.

Chips n Salsa: chips were fresh and warm, but the salsa had 0 spice and bordered tomato paste (a hit with the kids for sure!)
Taco: it was OK, I think a spicy salsa would have made this decent
Enchilada: this had flavor but was over seasoned.
Rice: not a fan
Beans: good for dipping your chips in, but OK.
Liver & Onions: Meat was tender and was pretty good, could have used more onions.
Salad bar: OK
Taco soup: No, and not to sound intentionally mean but I prepare a nice slow cooked beef and chicken and veggie for my dogs (without seasoning) and this soup reminded me of that.

My family ate here. Food was OK, service was slow but the kitchen prepared our food super fast. The salad bar is above average. My brisket enchiladas were good but I didn't care for the soupy rice that they called "Mexican rice". The pozole soup tasted healing and had a bit of spice that made it extra good. The brisket burger was super filling. They were out of the jalapeno dishes and said they sale out fast. Atmosphere was a little awkward with several rooms, passing a salad bar to navigate to our tight dining area, server station was exposed.

We were told there was about a 40 min. wait, took about 25 (very busy and rightfully so). We both had the avocado bacon burger with fries and a side gb taco; everything tasted great.
Hard working and friendly staff.

We had an early morning breakfast. Not busy. Senior specials were substantial. Casual and comfy. Well prepared and presented food. Fun gift shop inside restaurant.

Great old time restaurant. The Mrs and I shared the batter fried green chilies. I had the green chili cheese burger and the Mrs had the meatloaf. Everything was delicious. Plenty of parking.

We came here during a stop from Tennessee to California. We ordered the Chile relleno plate and two orders of the salad bar. They served up some tortilla chips and salsa and also offered water to our dogs. There is outdoor seating which is excellent for those that are in need of dog friendly dine-in alternatives. The salad bar I would rate a solid 4 out of five, but the chili rellenos plate was just okay. Okay. The rice was a little too soggy and the chili was okay. It was good for what it was. It's a good, affordable option in the area. Service is excellent and there are gluten free options. They do have a 3% charge for credit cards .

Had a very pleasant dinner. The place was packed, which is always a good sign when traveling. The staff was very friendly and offered their opinions when asked about an entrée choice. My chicken fried steak was very good, and I could tell it is something they know how to make. My wife had the chicken parmigiana, which was very tasty and a very large portion. We finished off the dinner with lemon meringue pie!
