I really enjoyed not having to wait on the elevator and not stopping on every floor to get to my room, even though we were only on the 5th floor. I really enjoyed talking to Stevee in the Azul Cafe daily. She was really nice and informative. I enjoyed watching her take care of the customers and the smile on their faces. Our room was spacious, the pool was pleasant and the front desk people were nice. Stevee in the cafe really stood out with her pleasant personality and fun demeanor. We will definitely stay here again.||Mark and Renee Slade

I’ve been running events at hotels for over 21 years. I can honestly say this is one of the best properties we’ve ever visited. I had over 100 attendees. I think the secret to success at this hotel is the people. They were all very well trained And friendly and observant of what was going on around them. I’m not sure why this is rated and “three star“ hotel. It’s at least a four or five for sure. If you visit, I highly recommend the sports bar right across the street for drinks and really good food at reasonable prices. Everybody we met there was awesome. Highly recommend particularly if if you want to bring a conference to the Phoenix area.

The hotel itself is fine .... really nothing special. The rooms are OK, the staff was nice and reasonably helpful.

There is something extra cut rate though about having your room service meal brought to you in a to-go container and the soda being something that came from the gun in the downstairs bar.

The hotel is right next to a live music venue that has regular outdoor performances that you hear up until 10 pm. If you need a solid night's sleep, this is not the place to go. Other than that, there is a bar across the street and nothing else within reasonable walking distance in a semi-seedy neighborhood.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! The staff were so so accommodating! The room fridge only stays on for 2 hours at a time, which we had never seen before, but the staff came and got our food and put it in their fridge till morning! The grounds were grounds beautiful and conducive for relaxing and conversation!

We stayed there October 27 - October 30 for a conference we were attending. It's an older hotel. We were in a disabled room on the first floor. The electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work, there was only a tine glass shelf to put stuff on, the faucet dripped, the sink was slanted so couldn't put things on it or they would slide off. The worst part is I got bit by a bed bug on the back of my neck in a few places. I found the bed bug crawling on my pillow in the morning when I woke up. I reported to management, showed him the bug (I put in a container) and showed him the back of my neck. I stated "I hope we have no bill when we leave" and was told "that's not how it works". We had to move to another room. We were not offered any compensation (such as extra membership points or a reduced rate) for the inconvenience or the intense itching, swelling, and discomfort for the bites on the back of my neck. Also, our friends that were also staying there had to move to another room because there was smoke coming from an electrical outlet in a room a few doors down and the fire department was called in. I can say that the majority of the staff were very friendly.

The hotel itself, is nice. Standard Marriott. Clean, comfortable, good service. It is attached to the Mesa Convention Center, making it very convenient if you are attending a convention or concert. I did not give this hotel five stars because of the location. The neighborhood is sketchy, as was the casual mention of several Uber drivers who wondered why there was a Marriott in a less than desirable neighborhood. Also, if you want to go grab something to eat, you are stuck with the limited menu in the lobby bar or walking across the street to a grill (which itself had good food but not the best ambiance). They do also have an overpriced not-good breakfast buffet. Those are your meal choices unless you want to spend money on an Uber. Between the heat and the area, your options are limited. I attended a conference (convention center was nice) + recently and it was convenient for that reason, but unless you have reason to be there, stay in a nicer area.

We were overwhelmed by the kindness and helpfulness of employees. Especially Kenya, one of the front desk supervisors. She went out of her way to help us find a solution to a failed Airbnb situation the night before my Goddaughter’s wedding. With her as supervisor I feel safe saying everyone is in good hands at this beautiful Marriott location. Thanks again Kenya—You made a huge difference!! The bride, and all of us with her, thank you!!
