Excellent experience! I signed up for dirty hands ($33 for an hour of workshopping, clay, glazing session afterwards, and firing). I thought it was a very good way to try things out-- you can make anything you like in the time you have (an hour minus the time to show basic operations of the clay roller, all the available tools, and scoring and slipping to attach pieces together).

This review is from a session I did a year ago and after having gone to other studios and having different experiences I can say my experience was absolutely awful. The instructor was so insanely rude and awful. Didn't even go back for my piece because I just resented how bad the experience was. So if this is your first time and you are trying to fall in love with a new hobby..... maybe bring thick skin because you'll be berated or try a studio that cultivates a better environment to fall in love pottery.

My studio home away from my home studio. It's a fantastic place for beginners. For more experienced ceramic artists, it can be a great place for learning and growing new skills. And for inspiration from the clay community there.

Absolutely love this studio! I’ve taken a couple different classes here with the 2 instructors and both of them are fantastic. It’s a hands-on or hands-off experience depending on what level you’re at and what you need, you just have to communicate it!! I always feel super welcomed and always enjoy my conversations and time spent with the instructors! If you bring good energy and a positive attitude and willingness to learn, you’ll love it here! You get out what you put in. Can’t wait to go back 🙂

I had so much fun! This was such a great experience and the instructor was so laid back and cool. I already purchased another session and will be coming back!!!

Weirdly extremely aggressive instructor which made for a very uncomfortable experience. I am honestly shocked at how rude she was. Definitely go somewhere else!

I have always wanted to try throwing pottery. My daughter got me a certificate to a half hour class at Desert Dragon Pottery. I signed up for a 1/2 hour mini pottery wheel class. By the end of the class, I had a functional bowl. I knew I was hooked on clayI I signed up for 6 more hour long sessions. Each session included all clay, return session for glazing and firing. Mishy and Anita are patient and extremely knowledgeable instructors. The studio is truly a creative space with a casual vibe, but seriously amazing pieces are made there!
