An interactive science museum that is bigger then it looks from the outside. So many hidden extra exhibits. This is a treat! Bonus is that it's part of the reciprocal museum membership program. The cafe has some tasty food as well.

We enjoyed going to the Discovery Cube as a family while on our vacation to Cali! They have so many cool interactive activities and they are fun for kids of any age and the whole family. My 2 little girls really enjoyed it, ages 8 and 10. Everything in there is very educational. If you homeschool your child, this is a great place to take them as a field trip 1 day. The kids are sure to love it. They sell food inside where you can also sit down and eat and there is of course a gift shop. The have scientific experiments involving space, pulley and weight experiment, recycling experiments, grocery shopping experiment which makes the child read the ingredients on certain items so that they scan the right 1 for their cart. They have an experiment about hockey, you can learn alot about dinosaurs and they also have an aquatic area where you can pet stingrays. Awesome place which takes at least a couple hours to get through if you do each experiment. You definitely get your money’s worth here!

We were in town and decided to spend a rainy afternoon at Discovery Cube, and I’m so glad we did! The exhibits were really interactive, fun and informative, and we ended up spending almost 4 hours there with our 8 and 5 year old. Pricing was fair. Only bummer was there were several small pieces of various exhibits that weren’t functioning properly, but there were plenty of other things to see and do that it wasn’t a huge deal.

Awesome place for young minds! We have been going here since 2017, and my girls really love everything about it. The yearly membership is definitely worth it.

They have food for purchasing and tables inside for sitting/eating, but in my opinion it’s too pricey for the amount of food given. The food is delicious when I do buy it, I’m just a penny pincher!

I would recommend ages 5-14 to go because they have a lot of older kid activities but only some for the younger minds.

I love that they create year-round experiences; they have a Halloween and Christmas exhibit with all kinds of festive activities (when it’s that time of year).

They also have a mini aquarium where the kids can touch the fish (two-finer touch). I’m probably not going to get this right, but I believe they have starfish, anemones, shark and manta-rays.

This time of the year (June 2024) they have a space theme where kids can learn about the galaxy and planets, which is located in their upstairs theater.

They have lots of fun activities that have the possibility of teaching your children, if you’re involved enough. They teach things like recycling and healthy eating.

There are lessons on earthquakes, weather, dinosaurs, physics and so much more. I don’t want to overwhelm the reader right now.

There’s also a store where you can find so many awesome souvenirs to remember your trip and to teach your children about science after the visit is over! It’s a really fun science place, even for adults!

In my opinion the Discovery Cube is the best interactive science museum we have been to in the US. Kids of all ages will enjoy this unique museum!

Our son loves to check out science museums when we travel and this is by far the most interactive. Kids from toddlers to tweens were busy playing with the variety of science related areas. There is a small snack shop with healthier foods for kids plus a coffee shop for the adults. We really enjoyed spending a couple of our vacation hours at the Discovery Cube.

We also appreciated that all of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The facility is also clean and tidy.

We recently took our daughter to the Discovery Cube in Orange County, and it was a fun experience! She absolutely loved the Planets exhibition, where she could explore different planets, learn about the solar system, and let her imagination run wild. It was both entertaining and educational, and she was asking tons of questions throughout the entire exhibit.

The museum itself is a great size for kids - not too overwhelming, but with enough to keep them engaged for a few hours. We were able to see everything in about an hour and a half, making it a perfect outing for young children. The highlight for many, including our daughter, was the touch tank at the little aquarium, where they could get up close to stingrays and sharks.

Overall, the Discovery Cube is a fun and engaging place for kids of all ages. We saw many children having a blast playing with the car tracks in the center of the museum. While parking can be a bit tricky at times, and the food options aren't the strongest, it's definitely a worthwhile activity for families in Orange County. We went on a Friday afternoon to avoid the crowds, which worked out perfectly, and we will definitely be back to explore more in the future!

I told my husband that I would come back just for the food. Bean Sprout Cafe did not disappoint—Emily was so helpful, and everything we tried hit the spot: Chicken Pesto Chango (so juicy), Do-Re-For-Me (perfectly sweet and creamy), Chicken Salad (crisp and flavorful!), Tots & Dipper (healthy-ish tot vibes), and a fresh, crisp apple. So yeah… the real reason we came to Discovery Cube might’ve been for the snacks. 😆

But for real, we were here for our 2-year-old, and Discovery Cube nailed it. Discovery Market was a total win; he loved “shopping” and scanning items (huge props for the realistic design!). Eco Challenge: Race to Recycle surprised us too—turns out, waste sorting is more complex than you’d think! And DINO QUEST was just pure fun; we loved helping him explore and learn about dinos.

Shout-out to the team behind these exhibits—thoughtful, interactive, and totally kid-friendly. Every staff member across the different exhibits were super helpful. Perfect spot for a fun, hands-on day with the fam!
