I highly recommend Dogz101!! When I first started working with them, I was really struggling with Gabby. We had been through 3 dog trainers in the past. Each time she improved, but we could not fix the issue of her recall nor chasing other smaller dogs. She is such a sweet girl, but she has a very strong prey and herding drive. The last time she got into an altercation with another dog. I was so desperate.
Dogz101 was recommended to me by a friend. I took Gabby there to train with Barack.
What a difference!! He not only worked with Gabby but with us. There were a lot of things we were doing wrong. Barak was really patient with us. It has been 3 months since taking her home. She had some difficulty on making the adjustment back home. Barak was great, working with us again until we all felt comfortable.
I can now walk with Gabby off leash, and it is fun to take her places (whereas before I would be scared she would do something). We take her to restaurants, and she can sit quietly next to another dog without any correction. The cost of the training is not cheap, but it is worth it. I thank you Dogz101 - we could not have done this without you.

So we adopted a pitbull from the shelter and she is a total sweetheart. But she was a little over 1 year old with lots of puppy energy. Just jumped up at you to meet you, and had no concept of boundaries or personal space. She had a nipping problem while she was trying to give kisses and was not potty trained. She wouldn't listen to any commands. And was unruly in the house. She pulled on walks and darted at people to say hi on walks. We chose the 20 day board and train with Barak. After we were reunited with our dog Izzy, she is very responsive to commands like ,sit, down, heal on walks with a loose leash, and most importantly, place. Place, where she will lay down on her cot for hours without breaking it until told to. We still need to keep reinforcing these commands as to keep the training and get her used to obeying and get those deep engrained in her. But we are over the moon with how much of an improvement Izzy has made with Dogs101. She is an obedient dog now with a firm grasp and foundation on responding to commands. If she tries to get lazy with commands or pushes her our boundaries, a simple correction will put her right back into alignment. We couldn't be more thrilled with our results. We next plan on moving forward with Dogz 101 to install a recall for our Izzy. So she will always return to us, for safety concerns obviously. But Barak taught us how to identify behaviors that need to be corrected right away and our Izzy responds to corrections very quickly. She knows exactly what we're asking of her. And we have unlimited Sunday group training classes for life to keep skills sharp and hold command's with lots of distractions and other dogs. Overall we are very happy with our experience with Dogz101. We are now committed dog parents, and intend to keep our dog healthy and disciplined, submissive and happy and keep her safe. Highly recommend Gogz101 for hard case dogs that need to be whipped into shape, or if you have a good pup and just want some solid training that will make your dog very responsive to commands. Check out Dogz101 and I'll tell you, it's worth every penny. Especially for us with a pitbull, we can't take any chances with her not being under control. Society doesn't give pitbulls a second chance. But couldn't be more happy with our results. Thanks Barak!

Dogz101 accomplished in 3 weeks what we couldn't in 3 months of home training with our then 6 month old doodle.

We used to have to cordon off half of our living room with a playpen to keep our puppy from wandering off and eating things that aren't food while we'd do our daily chores.

Every time we'd go on walks, it would be a constant battle to keep him on all fours and not lunge at people (little as he is), let alone having him walk beside us and stop when we'd stop.

Although he would comply in the moment with basic commands such as "sit", "down" and the like, he'd quickly get distracted and break position.

Now he obeys when we bring him to his place mat and say "place", and stays put for hours until we release him.

Even when commanded to sit or lie down, he will remain in that position until we give him a break.

Walks with him are now much more relaxed. He now walks patiently beside us and does not lunge at strangers.

For all this, we are grateful to the good folks at Dogz101 (shoutout to Barak, Priscilla, and Maya), who have helped us not only with kickstarting our pup's induction into polite society, but with the continuing education and mentorship that we need as first-time dog owners to build a strong foundation for our new canine relationship.

Dogz101 changed our lives.

We spent months researching and talking to trainers all across the Bay Area. Once we sat down for our consultation, we felt understood and confident that our dog could have lasting change.

Our dog, Kairo, was extremely dog reactive. He barked, pulled, lunged, & growled every single time he saw another dog. We read books, watched videos, but could not lessen his reactivity on our own. We decided to enroll Kairo in their 35 day board and train program.

We got regular updates (pictures and videos) tracking his incredible progress. They worked on Kairos confidence around other dogs, on/off leash obedience, and place. He made such amazing strides everyday. The Dogz101 team fell in love with Kairo and Kairo fell in love with them. Our trainer, Tony worked relentlessly and with care to get Kairo to the point he is at now.

Kairo has been home for about 2 months now and not only has his confidence grown, ours has too. Kairo is a work in progress, but we now have the tools to manage the reactivity thanks to Dogz101. We continue to take Kairo to group classes (5 included with B&T package), which helps keep the training fresh. Dogz101 has made it clear that they are going to be a resource for us his entire life. They have gone above and beyond to make Kairo’s life happier and I can’t believe how much growth he has made.

tl;dr highly recommended for grooming, boarding, training. Staff are truly fantastic and our dog just adores them.

We first went to Dogz101 for their grooming service, a few months after we got a new puppy. Our puppy was, by all accounts, extremely difficult - he was anxious and generally wouldn’t let anyone touch him. So we had low hopes for grooming. When we picked up the puppy, they explained that they bathed but not groomed him, due to his anxiety, but they were willing to try again and see if he felt more comfortable over time. We were grateful that they were respectful of the puppy’s emotional needs and also willing to work with us. Fast forward a few months, and we needed to board our puppy while traveling out of town, so we used Dogz101. We were grateful that they sent us texts, photos, and videos during that time, so that we knew he was doing well. However, when we picked up our puppy we had the biggest surprise - he was so content and calm that they had even successfully groomed him! It was just abundantly clear to us that our anxious puppy developed trust with the staff, and really loved them. In fact, he would snuggled up with them, which he had never done with anyone before (picture included!) A few months later, we were still struggling with our puppy - a natural consequence of his breed, we found out - and decided to splurge on a board & train package. Long story short, we were BLOWN AWAY at how well trained our puppy, now dog, became. And the best part was that he loved being trained. He was happier with the structure and discipline they taught him, and we were happy to learn how to communicate effectively with our dog. The way they taught both our dog and us (especially with follow-up classes after the board & train) has completely changed our interactions with and connection to our dog, in the best possible way. Now months since the training, we can confirm that the board & train was long lasting and worth every penny. We literally cannot believe that our dog is now capable of everything they taught him. We feel so good about using all of the services at Dogz101 not just because we’re happy with the results (thought we certainly are) but also because our dog shows us that he trusts and loves them. THANK YOU to Dogz101 for all of your help with our dog; he’s now 1 year old so we’re excited to use your services for many years to come.

Stopped in on a whim after passing a sign on the street. My dog has been my hardest experience in clipping my dog's nails, so i wondered if they could do better. Only $12 and 3m later, i was greeted by her wagging tail and short nails! Super friendly and swift!
