RV park with full hookups, spots are level and decent size, good Verizon and T mobile services. On the Air Force Base, first come first serve.

Came back to the base for 2 weeks after COVID teleworking the past year. They've expanded and added 15 more spots. However, it is completely full with what appears to be permanent residents. Every site looks to be set up for long stays with outdoor lights, multiple cars, parked bicycles, etc. It looks like base housing overflow. I had to set up in a parking lot near my office. Luckily, I brought a generator and had enough fresh water in my tank to flush my toilet.

Update 7/30/2024: Rating changed from 1 star to 4.
They moved everyone out last fall to replace the asphalt. Since then, there have been a few open spots available for temporary use and raised the price $5, to $35/day. It’s still hit or miss, but I’ve been able to get a spot on weekends during the hottest parts of the year.

The site is several miles off the highway (CA-58) and the Outdoor Recreation (OR) staff were not terribly friendly - very transactional. Entrance for the OR office is not well marked and the building parking lot is not conducive for parking with a trailer. During our visit, the main full hookup site was not available due to ongoing construction, so we boondocked in the gravel overflow lot. According to the website, construction is scheduled for completion in December 2023, so possibly the new year will bring better experiences. We will likely not return to this base.

This has been a wonderful place to live for 2 years. A couple more washers and dryers would be really nice.

It has a good laundry that's only .75 for washer and dryer. The RV sites are adequate but not level. Has dog bags and waste basket. We went to commissary, gas station, and barber. For $20 it's fine but nothing special.

Stayed a month prior to PCSing out. Here are a few of my observations.
1. My biggest concern is the amount of dog feces surrounding the camp. Residents let their dogs out and will not clean up after them. There is no leash enforcement, so pets are left to roam an go where they want.
2. The spaces are tight and you are basically door to door with your neighbor, sharing a picnic table.
3. The facilities (bathrooms/laundry) were either inop or in disrepair. Improvements were underway during our stay but we left before they were complete. Internet is hit or miss, mostly miss.
4. The 30 day policy is not enforced. Famcamp is not big enough to house ~80% full timers. This is a disservice to travelers who are passing though and find the only spaces available are too small or over run by the full time neighbors gear.

For $30 a night, the overall experience was lacking and overpriced compared to other DOD campsites.

Overpriced at $30 a night with no wifi or tv reception. Drop box for late check in overstuffed since arrival on 5/17. No maintenance present felt except for cleaning of common area. Lots of long term residents and dog feces make park look run down. Excessive vehicles parked on borders of park make it hard to leave. Very windy and desert area. Only plus is walking distance to BX, commissary and gas station shopette.
