Best dental cleaning I've ever had. Ralph was my dental hygienist and he was extremely thorough and gentle. He is the best hygienist I have ever been to and I am so glad I went to El Segundo Modern Dental. Everyone was very kind and extremely skilled and caring. Thank you so much! Highly recommend.

Provided very detailed imagery, x rays, and photos of my teeth. The dentist recommended far more work than I expected, however the estimated cost for all the work sounded reasonable. They were cooperative when I said I would get a second opinion. I did find another dentist that recommended far less work and far less invasive work (able to resolve a cavity with a regular filling compared to the root canal quoted, only two issues identified compared to the 8 this place quoted). I would recommend this place for cleanings or if their assessment was minor, but get a second opinion if they suggested lots of work.

This place is a SCAM FACTORY. If you scroll through the reviews, you'll see I'm not the only one saying this.

I went in for a basic teeth cleaning—nothing fancy. I’ve been going to the dentist every six months like clockwork my entire life, never had a single cavity. So imagine my surprise when, within minutes, the hygienists started whispering to each other like I was some kind of medical marvel. I literally heard one of them say “possible root canal.” At that point, I was like, "Excuse me? You’re not talking about me, are you?"

They sure were.

Suddenly, I had not one but TWO cavities—and apparently, one was “very serious.” Oh, and they informed me I needed a “deep cleaning” with antibiotics ASAP. (Fun fact: A dentist friend later told me deep cleanings are usually reserved for people who haven’t been to the dentist in years—not someone like me with a pristine track record.)

But wait, it gets better.

At the end of the appointment, the financial lady struts in, clipboard in hand, and dramatically unveils my grand total: ALMOST FOUR GRAND. I was lowkey spiraling. She even launched into a clearly rehearsed sales pitch, saying:

"You might be wondering... how am I going to pay for all this? Well, don’t worry. We offer payment plans."

Like it was a used car dealership and not, you know, a medical facility.

I told them I was feeling a little bamboozled and needed a second opinion. They said, “Okay, you’re free to do that.”

10 SECONDS LATER, she comes BACK into the room like a game show host.

“Good news! We can knock your bill down to only THREE GRAND! But only if you sign RIGHT NOW.”

At that point, I did what any sane person would do: I got the hell out of there.

Went to another dentist for a second opinion, had my X-rays forwarded, and guess what? Those two “cavities” they diagnosed? Completely made up. I don’t even need preventative fillings. The new dentist is doing all my actual necessary work (cleaning, etc.) for a FRACTION of the price.

Moral of the story: Do your research. A lot of these dental offices are getting bought out by giant corporations that pressure them to show growth, meaning they just make stuff up and drill into perfectly healthy teeth for profit.

I’ll be reporting El Segundo Modern Dentistry to the proper authorities.

Save your teeth. Save your money. Stay FAR away.

As a first-time patient, I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. The staff was very friendly, and the doctor took the time to explain the treatment in detail. I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. I will totally recommend them.

I had a good experience. Staff was friendly from check in to check out. Their equipment seemed state of the art. There were x-rays and 3D profiles that I haven't seen before. Pretty cool and creepy at the same time. The hygienist used ultrasonic water pick for cleaning, never had that before either. The rooms were nice. Could be more fun, but they were nice.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about this place! I am new to LA and do not trust anyone with my oral health, but the dentists at El Segundo Modern Dentistry made me feel at ease from beginning to end! The entire staff was exceptionally on point, professional, and knowledgeable. I made an appointment with El Segundo Modern Dentistry and met with Dr. Hafeez, who was very honest, transparent, and knowledgeable in explaining my ailment and my prognosis.
