Beautifully maintained reserve and visitor center. Helpful staff. It was a pity 2 of the trails were closed for construction. But the loop we took was lovely, was able to see a lot of bird species and bunnies. Very easy and flat trail , good for all ages.

Even though the Visitors Center was closed, the restrooms and trails were open. Staff were available to answer questions at the front door. We hiked about 2 easy miles on a combination of paved, dirt and boardwalk paths along the South Marsh loop trail. This is a beautiful time of year to visit. Next time we hope to take the Five Fingers loop trail and see Hummingbird Island across the railroad tracks when the plants are blooming.

as of February 2021 it was closed du to the pendemic, but still there were very nice, knowledgeable and friendly staff at the front entrance with a small set on a table that showed us the trails, gave some tips and offered advice to enjoy our day and to identify birds. You can download and see the map, birds identification guide and other resources thanks to some QC codes they provide. Really helpful!
