We stumbled upon this place while driving around looking for a good place to watch the Perseids meteor shower. It was perfect due to the place being the highest, or one of the highest places to see it best, other than being in a town far far from any city. It was beautiful to fit the fact you can look down the whole entire city.

Nice view. Note that a short section of California Way next to the water tank is unpaved but it is easily passable with an ordinary car.

Sort of an eyesore looking over Redwood City. There is a dirt road where you can get a good view of Palo Alto. Nothing too exciting.
