I was spending my last two days of our trip near the airport so we could avoid all the traffic in the area. We checked in and the gentleman at the front desk was so sweet. He was funny and pleasant so kudos to him! The lobby was better than expected they had a little hot chocolate bar set up and free popcorn which the kids enjoyed. We got our keys and headed to the room. The hotel is a bit dated, pool area and fireplace seating outside was nice. When we got to our room we noticed the bathroom stunk. The sink faucet smelled like sewerage it was not pleasant when trying to brush your teeth. The beds are terrible we didn’t sleep for two nights. But we dealt with it because it was just to stay close to the airport we were at the last leg of our travels. The night we checked in my family was hungry. The gentleman at the front desk told me that the bar had food so we headed there. The bartender was sitting on her phone not paying attention. When we asked for menus she went on to tell us it would be slow because “unfortunately she has to do two jobs” and can’t cook all at once. She gave us the menus and not more than two minutes later rudely asked us if we needed help reading it. I had two you d children that were deciding what they wanted. Because we felt so rushed we got a few easy things. We got our food and then went to pay. We went back over the bar full of people to find it left I attended. While I looked for the bar tender she was sitting in the breakfast area on her phone. We ended up waiting until she finally came. So disappointed this lady should not be working at the bar. My family patiently waited and was polite to just be talked to and treated so rudely. Overall I would not stay here again.

This is a renovated hotel from the 1950s and in a really convenient spot if you're traveling to any of the nearby venues like the Forum, Sofi, Intuit Dome. So even though it's completely renovated, the building does show its age. The layout doesn't really lend itself to modernization, the rooms sort of have an older feel to them, and the televisions are older. The TV even has DirecTV where it scrolls so you know what's on. The hotel breakfast was decent. There's even a line for the waffle makers. It wasn't a BAD hotel by any means. Just decidedly average. And there's absolutely nothing to do around the LAX area. So if you're looking for entertainment, that's not the place. Bring a laptop, iPad to keep you entertained. There's a small strip mall across with an El Pollo Loco, In n Out, some small stores, and a 7-11 across the other way. The hotel shuttle was really great. There's no set schedule so it comes every so often and drops you off at the hotel dropoff areas to each terminal. Leave yourself time to catch the shuttle.

Booked because of the rate and the proximity to airport. The lobby is modern but the hallways are tight and very dated. The room doors look like closet doors. Went to breakfast at 9:45 and discovered that breakfast was only served until 9:30. Only coffee and tea were available at that time. We were only staying one night pre-cruise and it was adequate for that. I would not stay at this property for more than one night. We did not utilize free shuttle and took an Uber to property.

We enjoyed every single moment at Fairfield hotel in El Segundo.

The staff is very nice, breakfast was good and the location is great. We did an early check in and late check out and they did not mind it at all.

Near the hotel we could find lots of services (supermarkets, fast food chains and even a few local shops) that is rare in LA to have all of this by an affordable walking distance. We did In and out Burgers, Chinese and tacos all a walk away.

If I come back to LA I definitely will choose this great facility to stay in.

The hotel was great, rooms were clean, the staff was warm and welcoming, the pool was super heated, the cloth laundry area was well maintained, they had warm hot chocolate and coffee always available, free popcorn for the kids, and a great bar for the adults.

We did hang out at the hotel for a couple of hours after checking out and they have a nice lounge where families can hang out, drink water, play games, coffee etc.

The shuttle service pickup and drop off is unbeatable and is the cherry on the top.

No other place can beat this period.

As previously stated in other reviews, this property is dated. It is located across the street from a shopping complex and a grocery complex, which is convenient. They offer 24h shuttle service to/from LAX, which is mainly why I chose to stay here. Account for 30 minutes from calling to pick up at LAX. Drop off at LAX is much easier leaving every 30 minutes from the hotel.

The service was average at check-in, straight and to the point. I feel I got better service from the security guy out front when I checked out early in the morning.

Reading reviews about theft alerted me a bit prior to my stay. Be sure to lock up your luggage and, make the room appear there is someone in there, take valuables with you. Unfortunate, but I could tell the staff was under deadlines and stretched thin with a lot of room turnover.

Overall, the room I was given didn't have any smells, had decent amount of space for luggage, a desk and chair. The walls are a tad thin, but, to be expected.

I wouldn't stay here if I had a rental car and had to park for the daily rate. Parking is minimal at check-in, so keep that in mind.

Let me start things off by saying I’m a perfectionist and I’m very particular and picky. Since this property had a 3.9 rating at the time of booking, my expectations were somewhat low. I was so impressed when we entered our room how clean it was how nice it was and the condition of everything. The thermostats worked as they should, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good. it was my husband‘s birthday weekend and they upgraded us to a suite which was a nice touch! Breakfast was also excellent, many choices. Highly recommend this property. Would definitely stay here again. Plus the 24 hour free airport shuttle makes it even more attractive.

My husband & I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/El for one night. This proved to be a good experience to stay here. Our suite was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. The staff was warm and welcoming, especially the front desk receptionist (sorry I forgot your name young man ☹) who was very nice with excellent customer service skills. He also gave us some very helpful information about how to best use our time and see important places in LA.
Complimentary breakfast is offered which could have been better because it didn’t cater so well for me (a vegetarian) but had plenty of choice for the non-vegetarians. Hot Coffee /Tea and popcorn are available 24-7 opposite to the front desk.
Tip- remember to call the hotel to pick you up when you reach the airport; we waited for almost 45 min for the shuttle to pick us up from LAX. However, when we called the hotel to get us picked up, we were picked in under 10 minutes.

At Check-in, Front Desk Mgr Louis made us feel welcomed & appreciated. Our room is quiet with comfortable beds and good temperature control. Breakfast in the morning and the airport shuttle will be the perfect way to start a day of travel.
