Last time I went to the Faulkner County Museum it was very boring. It didn't offer much and the upstairs was closed off with nothing up there. The museum needs to expand and offer more, like maybe a dinosaur exhibit of dinosaurs or other prehistoric animals that inhabited the Conway area in prehistoric times.

This is a great county museum! They have a great arrowhead collection, farm equipment, but also sports history of Faulkner County. There is also a train model in the tower! We like to go during their Open House in November. They have live music, activities for children and adults, as well as apple cider and ginger snaps!

Incredible space dedicated to the complex natural and man-made history of the area. There are even exhibits curated by local colleges classes. I highly recommend visiting the model train display on the second floor detailing the history and impact of the rail industry on local land and business.

The heart and soul of Conway is buried in its long and storied history. Very much like the archeologist that heads the museum project, the folks at FCM are doing a fantastic job of excavating and interpreting what has been left behind for us.

Thank y’all for every bit of work you put into this.

Very interesting and well laid out museum dedicated to the rich history of Faulkner County. Mrs. Lynita really devotes herself to the project and the preservation of knowledge. Definitely worth a stop for anyone with any interest in the area itself or even just cool exhibits (some of which have been developed by students from UCA, which is awesome!).

The Holiday Open House festivities this year were bigger and better than I have ever seen in years past. There were hands-on make-it and take-it for the kiddos, Dutch oven cooking, music and dancing, and more all over the Faulkner County Museum grounds. Some of the exhibits inside of the museum have been changed since the last time I was in there too. My neighbor and I had a great time yesterday while visiting the museum.

The Faulkner County Museum is located in a building constructed in 1896 to house the county jail. In 1939, aided by funds from Depression-era New Deal agencies, it became the Faulkner County library, and in 1997 it became a museum. It was listed on the National Register on July 20, 1978.
