Absolute waste of time and money.

Imagine getting a big beautiful present with all the bows and ribbons, only to open that box and find nothing inside. That's FETC - lots of flashy lights but nothing to show for it.

Majority of sessions or workshops were money grabs by vendors trying to sell products, and out of what was left were sessions that were dated or only beneficial for absolute beginners to tech.

Closing session started with a video song bashing Twitter that would be typical of that angry aunt on Facebook, but we couldn't skip over it. They then had a collaborative virtual group, but they didn't pay for enough spots to support the number of paying attendees.

FETC is not the "cutting edge" tech conference it pretends to be. Not unless you think the VHS or MySpace is still "cutting edge."

The only reason I would recommend FETC is so you can go to Disney World afterwards, because then your trip wouldn't be a total waste.

I traveled all the way from Buffalo, NY, to attend the FETC expo and registered in advance. Despite receiving an email with detailed information, I was met with an incredibly frustrating queue upon my arrival at the fairgrounds today, January 14, 2025. After waiting, I finally received my attendance card, only to be informed that the expo doesn’t start until tomorrow. This is unacceptable. I have a return ticket for today, and it's frustrating to make this journey only to find out that I can't participate. They didn't provide any information about the expo dates being different from the conference date.

This was my first time attending the actual panels at FETC and the choices and tracks available were amazing! Also loved the welcome speech of OCPS superintendent Dr. Vasquez and Evans high School marching band!
