FABA is a great place for young actor to learn acting. In the past 6 months, my teenage kid has been taking acting classes at FABA, working with young actor/actress with the same age group and other adult actor/actress on different scenes, and preparing monologue with the instructor. Celik, the owner and instructor of FABA, is patient with every student and also willing to accommodate each student’s schedule. My kid enjoys the class with Celik, has been learning a lot in acting and taking good advice from him and other actors. Being in Celik’s class has not only taught my kid about acting, but also on communicating with others, building confidence on speaking, and learning to be kind and respectful to others. Beyond acting, Celik also encourages/accepts student to write their own scripts for the class if this is what they are interested in. Celik is an experience film maker, director, actor and I feel that he provides a great opportunity for my kid to explore the interest and passion on acting and film making through FABA.

I have been taking classes At Faba for 4 years , and every week I have fun in the scenes ,and celik gives us great acting tips , and redirects to make our scene better , And I love that we film movies and Shows, you won’t find anywhere else , I have grown as an actor at FABA, but most of all we have fun doing it . If you are considering taking acting classes and you live anywhere near Berkeley I would suggest contacting Celik and sitting in on a class if you're unsure of which school to attend. I like having him as a coach because he loves to teach, has a ton of experience, encourages class participation and trying new things. All classmates are given scripts every week to prepare for the next week. Everyone acts every session or you don't pay. The classes are small so you will get lots of attention and feedback on how to improve. Celik has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. He's like a friend you can trust. The classes are a sanctuary of great like minded working actors or future actors that share opinions with each other. You can meet new friends and ask for career guidance too.

FABA’s endeavors are exceedingly multifaceted and extensive. What one will find exceptional is the format of the class, dynamic professional acting coach, and opportunities FABA has with the film industry.
First, the format is organized to where the students are prepared with upcoming assignments to know what will be expected. This provides more focus and allows one to become aware of their upcoming responsibilities. The scenes in class between actors are organized so that there is ample learning, and rehearsing. I find the other students to be punctual, respectful, and talented.
Next, Celik’s perspective what the inner meanings of the lines in the scene are and then we communicate at an individual and group level. His knowledge helps the student bring life to the words. His style allows greater freedom that allows oneself to go deeper into the roles. He speaks with kindness and discipline, yet not over critical; moreover, he guides one through each stage systematically proving instructions instead. With the framework Celik has created, a student can look forward to learning the concepts of acting and being optimistic with each coaching session.
Last but not least, FABA has a network of film production entities with possible opportunities that makes FABA a rewarding experience.

.FABA is a great place for both new and experienced actors to learn, refine, explore, and hone their skills. A nurturing environment, FABA director Celik Kayalar's teaching methods encourage students to take risks and stretch. He understands how to give feedback in a way that allows students to grow from their strengths and add new skills and techniques that make their work richer. He's also great about explaining how the business works so that when you go onto a film set, you are ready, even your first time out. It's also fun --lots of laughter and you'll meet great people dedicated to acting who take the work but not themselves too seriously.

Celik is a Bay Area treasure. The real deal. If you have an interest in acting FABA is the quintessential school in the Bay Area to attend. in less 2 years I have been able to act and get paid for commercials and movies .
