A really great little artist run studio and gallery space. A decent collection of local artists' work, both functional and decorative. Reasonable prices, friendly proprietors, a lot of fun to shop. The artists participate in an outdoor show the first Saturday of every month in downtown Eureka, and the second Friday of every month in downtown Arcata.

The studio also offers classes which I unfortunately did not have a chance to check out. Will definitely return.

The Fire Arts Center is a studio cooperative where a lot of student and amateur ceramic and glass artists work. Cooperative spaces are challenging to work in in many ways, but this arts center is doing a fabulous job. I don't know who is responsible for seeing to that, but I hope they live forever.

Also, there is tons of artists work for sale for very reasonable prices. Being amateur, there is always something a little "off" about most of the pieces. On the other hand, there is a level of care, attention, and creativity in each piece that is superior to anything you'd find produced professionally. For me, that's is well worth the purchase. I love my Arcata Fire Arts pieces as much as I do any of the professional pottery I own. Arcata Fire Arts is now a must stop for me anytime I am traveling up or down the north coast.

We have some beautiful dishes from here. Makes great gifts and they're so sturdy as well. I plan to get a pottery class for my daughter here, I'd they still offer that.

This such a great place to stop in, even if you're not taking one of their super fun clay classes, there's a gallery and lots of unique ceramic pieces for purchase. When I went in student's were throwing pots on the wheel while getting personalized instruction. I picked up beautiful cups for gifts.

Wonderful space. Please make effort to improve the studio by cleaning up after yourself rather than letting others do so. Such a delight to have a shared space with so many knowledgeable techs and teachers!

I loved the unique planters by artist Jessica Swan. A separate drip cup included and hidden in the bottom so water doesn't drip on your furniture. Cleaver. No saucer needed. The planter with succulents is now a show piece in my home.
