One of the worst massages. They had zero clue what they were doing. The therapist, a student in training, seemed to have a lot of confidence but unfortunately lacked the necessary technique. Despite giving feedback during the session, there was no improvement, which was frustrating. Even after discussing focus areas ahead of the massage they only spent about 10 mins and less on the area and even that was bad. The most disconcerting aspect of the massage experience involved the therapist’s inappropriate and uncomfortable focus. There were extended and unwarranted attentions to the chest area, and despite my explicit requests not to do so, the therapist inappropriately adjusted the fabric covering me and trying to touch more of the chest area when they didn’t need to. Instances like this can leave a client feeling vulnerable, uncomfortable and freeze, which was precisely my experience. There was no acknowledgment or apology from the therapist, which compounded the discomfort.
Proper training for student therapists must emphasize not only the technical skills required for massage but also the ethical standards necessary to respect a client’s boundaries and requests. The lack of sensitivity and adherence to these professional standards in this instance was particularly concerning.
They need better training, and supervision checking in during the massage. Infact, Supervision during sessions should also be mandatory to prevent such issues. I left the massage feeling uneasy and disrespected, which is the opposite of what one should feel after a professional massage and neither did I feel any relief from any discomfort I was feeling prior to the massage. I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

My mother and I recently visited Florida massage of school and had the pleasure of being guided by Cj marrero. Cj was absolutely fantastic, Every question I asked was answered with clarity and great depth. Her articulate responses were delivered with a delightful sense of humor . My tour was both informative and entertaining. Cj’s professionalism and engaging personality made this tour a standout experience!

My experience as a student at FSM was amazing! This experience was like none other for me with such a different but refreshing classroom dynamic. It made learning easy and also allowed me to learn so much about myself besides massage. They really want you to find your own style and embrace it. The staff from instructors to administrative are all wonderful and so kind. Anyone looking to go to school for massage therapy I could not recommend this lovely school more. It's worth every penny and you get to feel at home while you are here. What's not to love?

Attending this school was a wonderful experience overall! I absolutely love how kind the staff were and I got really close to my classmates. It didn't feel like just getting an education, it felt like being a part of a big family! I appreciate how helpful the instructors were whenever I had questions and coming to this special massage program changed my life for the better 🙂

What an amazing experience!! The way they incorporate the hands on learning with the classroom learning is awesome. The instructors and staff members care for and are invested in each student. They were always available for help and it was obvious that I was not just another student coming through the program. I was cared for as a person. It is truly an all encompassing program that prepares you to go out and make connections with other human beings. Best decision of my life!
