The wedding ceremony site is GORGEOUS! The lodge was perfect for our wedding. Having rooms on site for our friends who closed the dance floor down was awesome- and the after party game room is so cool! Lots of places nearby to stay for larger weddings that need more rooms, or for those with guests looking for more amenities. You will not find a nicer staff. Amazing people who go above and beyond to help achieve the Wedding of your dreams!

Outstanding venue with a gorgeous spot for the ceremony that looks across the mountains. The lodge space had everything a family could ask for, all done with friendly and efficient staff. Their website does a nice job representing the various spaces for the event. Excellent food, including a day after wedding buffet breakfast where everyone can regroup from the day before. Highly recommend!

My brother and sister in law had their wedding here and everyone was saying it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The ceremony location is beautiful, the lodge is huge and very nice, food was EXCELLENT and loved the hangout space downstairs. The bartender Trever was the coolest bartender I’ve ever met and all of the staff were really nice and seemed to be enjoying their job. Highly recommend!

Well, the reviews were right. Forest House Lodge gave us a better wedding that we could have imagined. My wife and I married here in April 2024 and could not have been happier with our experience. We did a 2-day package (Rehearsal Dinner & Wedding Day--amazing decision). The ceremony site is breath-taking, the food is incredible, the basement lounge is insane, and most importantly, our guests were blown away.

Here's how Forest House Lodge went beyond our expectations: The entire staff of FHL works as a friendly, cohesive unit. We had a ton of unexpected snow on our wedding day (...in April). The staff drove their personal vehicles through the ceremony site repeatedly just to pack down the snow so that our shuttle wouldn't have a problem come time for the ceremony. We've been to a ton of weddings, and we've never seen a group of people more dedicated to giving you a great experience than the folks at Forest House Lodge. The staff is comprised of good people who are great at what they do.

We used a venue-recommended DJ (SJ's Disc Jockey) and Wedding Photographer (Heather Blackwood Photography). Both were fantastic and knew the venue intimately. Our coordinator, Clara, was excellent in working with all of our vendors the whole day so that we didn't have to stress. I cannot express enough how stress-free our wedding was thanks to the staff. Wedding days are wild, so having a venue that runs like clockwork is crucial.

If you're searching for a wedding venue, congratulations! You're done. Rest your weary head knowing you cannot beat this place. See you at the alumni events!

Got married here in September and every single person who works here was amazing. I felt like I didn’t have to do anything the whole day. Clara was our coordinator and she was so patient and informative. Her calm demeanor helped me feel relaxed and taken care of. They were so accommodating and wonderful. I love sweets and the cake was phenomenal. The dinner was delicious. Everything was incredible. They had the whole place cleaned up for us by the morning time. Thank you so much for making our day so much fun.

The reception site is not near the beautiful hill ceremony they show. An unless you rent the bus to bring people up to the site. Your surrounded by a bunch of cars as you get married. Which is the whole reason we rented the bus but that didn’t stop the venue from allowing people to show up in cars. Worse of all be prepared to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Literally. On top of that the rooms above the lodge need some updates an sadly more then some shared bathrooms. The staff were all nice. Also there is no where to get food for your bridal party. Unless you drive 30 mins back to Auburn. The cafes reviews are horrible.

My favorite part of this whole experience was the cute little photo they have right at the front that says thank you fire fighters, but when I asked several different times about a 1st responder discount. They ignored me.

Well, the atmosphere is beautiful and the lodge is old. It is well maintained with the exception of the rooms. It is convenient for the wedding party and family to stay at the lodge but the comfort level of utilizing the restrooms and the beds are horrible. Also, there is no ADA compliance in regards to the shuttle bus, I understand that the lodge is extremely old and did not expect compliance for the rooms and access but for the shuttle they must have handicap availability for wheelchairs and those with mobility issues. I’m surprised they’re allowed to operate that vehicle in such a manner.
