I've been to Fort Irwin many times in the past I've worked here and I've also been on base with a good friend of mine that's in the Army and we've been to the park and played football out on the grass and also went to the movie theatre and watched several movies there and never had a problem getting in base . But today I was going to accompany a good friend of mine which is a military veteran so she could take her senior Dog to the vet clinic and he's about 140 pounds and she needed my help lifting him into and out of the vehicle so anyways I came with and was denied a base pass because of my background which they told me was unfavorable and granted I do have both good and not so good background per say but it's been about two decades and I've been on other military installations that are more secure than Fort Irwin and granted my pass . Anyeaysy point is that I'm a united states citizen and aren't we the United States of America United being the first of the title of our Country so with that being said it seems like we are not very united as all bases should have the same protocols and not deny me a base at one base but another they do . Also they could of granted me a temporary pass and be escorted at all times with my friend and former retired and also wounded warrior veteran to take her service animal to the vet clinic. It's a dam shame sorry to say. And I do support our United States and the troops serving in the armed forces and I'm a proud American for the record.

Located outside the main gate to have authorization access processed. They have a bathroom for emergencies too.

So much fun. 2 hours was enkught for our crew. I had to work, so enjoyed the view on the porch of the restaurant.

My wife's pass was expired So we had to get a pass for her. Normally there's no people in line and the process takes about 2 minutes but we had about 10 people in front of us so it took about 30 minutes. Once it was our turn it took the usual time of 2 minutes. The officer was friendly professional and fast.

LT Beford was the worse tried quoting some wrong regulation about my hat then refused to give me a guest pass when corrected he was wrong took getting Garrison CSM involved to get my pass he kept his attitude giving me dirty looks refusing to do his job he is a civilian security guard that gets off harassing soldiers and families over little bit of power he has THE WORSE!!!
