I go to this every week. They teach a beginner-friendly lesson, and then dance to swing, waltz, and Latin music, from the 19th century to the 2020s. Dress is totally casual and there's an informal atmosphere you don't find anywhere else.

The size and makeup of the crowd can change quite a bit from week to week, but it has consistently offered lessons followed by a place to waltz and do other types of social dance (swing, Cha Cha, polka, tango) to diverse music. A friendly group of folks who who will ask new people to dance and provide welcome. A mix of mainly couple dances (with flexible lead/follow roles) with some group mixers, this has been a consistent and usually casual place (with a few dress up times per year) to dance at reasonable cost. Age is mixed. Music is usually DJ. A fun Friday mainstay.

Fun group, especially on themed nights (although it can get crowded on the dance floor). I also enjoy the variety - the focus is waltz, but they play plenty of swing, salsa, two-step, etc.

Everyone is very friendly, and it's really a perfect learning atmosphere. Definitely an event I'm happy to drive almost two hours to support.

Supportive dance community for beginners to advance ans everything in between. Social ballroom with hints of Latin here and there.

While I enjoyed my time there, it seemed a bit clique-ish in having choreographed dances, different timing from what I call a waltz to Vinnese waltz.
