The food was amazing. Don't go if you want to lose weight! ? Some of the facilities were very up to date. The chapel is spacious and well designed. The dorm room we had was very clean but not a table or chair to set our things on. The shower had no hook for a towel or clothes. All buildings that we used were well heated in winter.

This place was so much fun, the church services are kinda long but so fun, they have very fun activities, they give you free time after the first service and then free time from 7ish-12, the food was ok, but they do have a snack shake when it's free time at night, this place was where I met my best friend and got me closer to friends I had just met, they have a pool and stuff. This camp is so worth it

Always a friendly staff. My children grew up coming to camp here and loved it every year! They are always adding wonderful options like a new pool and the Ropes Courses. Hiking is a must in the area. Go see Frog Rock. A must if you have the option to send children or participate in a family camp here.

Do not attend Granite Hills/ AZYM if you are non-denominational, POC, have any dietary restrictions, low income or are okay with your children starving, dehydrated or being sleep deprived. This camp is not meant for children who are beginning their path with god. They will make your kids stay still in service 5+ hours even when they are tired emotionally and physically. They are not allowed to leave as each event is mandatory.
They don’t provide filtered water for the kids, the kids are given hose water to drink. Kids aren’t allowed to get drinks from lunch/dinner to carry in their water bottles. They threatened to take away the kids soda and juice privileges.(mind you they paid for this privilege.)
The events were poorly staffed and mismanagement. They made our kids stand in the line for activities on the hottest part of the day only to be told they could not participate.
They have kids up from 7am to midnight and stop feeding them at 5pm. They do not provide snacks in between nor the 6 to 7 hours after dinner. Kids are expected to buy snacks from their pop bar. The pop bar was sold out of everything on the last day of camp. Our group attempted to buy food outside for our kids to feed them but we were advise no outside food was allowed. (We were encouraged to leave and get Starbucks on day 1) Griffin McGrath was grateful enough to give our kids his staffs leftover catered Panda Express after letting it sit out all night. The next morning, donuts from a nearby bakery were bought for the other teams.
Our group leaders and students who are vegetarians and kosher could not get any food substitutions and had to eat sides and salads. Substitutions were provided to other church groups. Salad supplies were low and often had run out.
The Camp Deans forgot our boys were in a cabin and did not check on them till the last night. The Deans threatened to make the kids stay up past midnight until a camp survey was filled out on Day 3.
I encourage you to find another place to take your kids for their safety and well being. All attempts to advise of our experience were met with pushback from camp and recreation staff.
