Check in was a breeze, and the front desk staff was professional and personable. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and large. The fireplace was so cozy and the bed was very comfy. We loved the back area with a nice patio, beautiful fire pit, plenty of seating, and a great view of the golf course. The pool was warm enough in December to splash around for a bit The location is convenient and close to the village of HMB which had a lot of dining and shopping options. Also, very close to the Coastal Access Trail. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

We spent two nights here. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The back of the property is beautifully landscaped. Our little grand- niece said she loved our backyard. The pool is heated and warm enough to swim in December. The front desk was so nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again when in the area.

The pillows actually ARE the fluffiest I've ever slept on. I've been a fan of this property for almost 30 years!! The hotel remains consistently wonderful! The property has aged beautifully with just the perfect upgrades and improvements to maintain the property's charm and allure. The rooms are so cozy and comfortable, the free breakfast amazing! A perfect saltwater pool and the most charming gazebo covered hot tub are a must when visiting this hotel!!

We absolutely loved the Half Moon Bay Lodge. The property is charming-- a bit set back from the road. The staff and service are first rate. They are friendly and efficient. In particular, we loved staying in the fireplace room. Each night, we were given a bag of small logs to burn and it was heavenly. The room felt so warm and cozy. I needed a microwave for health reasons (heating up eye pads) and the kind staff at the front desk had one sent up to the room immediately. The complimentary breakfast was delicious-- including a waffle maker for fresh, homemade waffles. The room size with balcony was perfect for two people. Best of all, the location of Half Moon Bay Lodge was perfect for accessing activities--golfing, walking along the coastal trail, and visiting/dining in downtown Half Moon Bay. We will definitely be back!

This hotel has a lot to offer and I got a really great rate on the tower suite. The staff were friendly, the room was very clean, the location was central, and the amenities were perfect. I was surprised by the free breakfast! Great for families or couples and I highly recommend to folks visiting the area.

The overall experience was ok. I was most disappointed with the moldy smell from the bathroom. I could not get that smell to go away - even after the constant spraying of lysol. I think the bathroom needs to be treated for mold, in my opinion. We ended up staying because the whole area was booked, and rooms that were available were north of $400/night!

The amenities were great - breakfast, heated pool, sauna, and hot tub.

Comfortable bed! Lots of choices at the free breakfast buffet. Quiet - we stayed in early December. Hot tub was hot and clean. Entire pool area was welcoming. Yes the lodge is an older building but updated and well maintained.

We love this place. The beds and the room is so comfortable. The grounds are lovely. The amenities work perfect for our family. My only 👎 would be the breakfast. All carbs pretty much except for the eggs and horrible sausage. However we will be booking here again and again.
