Happy Life Pottery is one of my favorite places and I look forward to it all week! It is perfectly named because of the story behind it, but also because of the joy it brings by spending time here creating! The HLP team is composed of awesome and knowledgeable instructors and staff. I've been fortunate to be a student of David, Amy, and Robbie, and I've learned so much from them! I look forward to taking more classes from the other instructors as well. The gallery is gorgeous and you will surely find a beautiful and unique piece to make someone else (or yourself) happy. I am always feeling inspired in this place! The only regret I have is not writing this review earlier. It's always nice to find a business that is owned and operated by really great people. You'll find that here at Happy Life Pottery!

Took the tree making class during Christmas, it was a lot of fun. The Happy Life team is very knowledgeable in all things ceramic. 10/10 recommend you take a class .

This is one of the most welcoming, happy-making places in downtown Benicia! Amy is a natural teacher, with a patient and friendly manner, and all the skills to assist her students. The variety of classes and workshops offered continually impresses me; one of these days I am going to take a wheel throwing class.

I took a bud-vase class (I store my chopsticks in it), and had such a fun time. Beyond clay and pottery, Happy Life offers super cool earrings (and other jewelry), and nifty, usable art pieces.

I highly recommend this store, the classes, and the owners, and I hope they never leave Benicia!

I took a beginning ceramics class with David in 2019. Having since taken classes at 3 other studios in Oregon, I had to come back and leave a review. David is not only skilled, but an incredibly effective instructor. The skills and techniques I learned from him have allowed me to independently throw in other classes when the instruction was lacking. He is the best instructor and if you get the opportunity to learn from him at the Happy Life Studio, DO IT! Thank you for the gift of excellent instruction, David!

My Husband & I Loved the experience for first time wheel throwing. Meg and Tayla were awesome and patient throughout the process 🙂 I am more of a perfectionist so it took me sometime to really “get” the steps but Meg and Tayla were so patient and helpful. I wanna go back to shop their products and take another class! Totally recommend the first time wheel throwing class if you are a bit shy or need a lot of guidance through out process. If not interested in their classes, go there to shop if you need a nice jewelry or home piece, they have great stuff! (Pic included shows our “awesome work” from beginner wheel throwing class)
